Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce a fuel ratio in the blast furnace and to produce by-produced gas having high freedom, by adding the powder of solid hydrocarbon and oxygen or the like, and simultaneously carrying out the steel making reaction and gasfication of hydrocarbon in the manufacturing process of steel. CONSTITUTION:Molten iron 1 is continuously fed to a reaction furnace 3 from a flowing trough 17. From a water cooling lance 4 oxygen blowing is done to desiliconize and the powder of iron oxide is added from the lance. Then, from the lance 2 coal powder is injected and added into the molten iron by using transporting gas to decarbonize. From the lance 7 more than a stoichismetrically equivalent amt. of oxygen is blown and if requird, steel chips are added from a feed port 10 of a cooling agent, and steam is blown from the lance 11. The produced slag is transferred to dephosphorization and desulfurization process through an intermediate skimmer 8 and an intermediate skim discharger 9 and oxygen and slag making agent are added from the lance 12 and the feed port 13. The produced gas is taken out through a fuel 15 from an upper part of a slag discharge port 14 and the molten iron which has finished the reaction is taken out from a tapping port 16.
