Abstract
PURPOSE: To elevate the mechanical characteristic and the stress corrosion cracking resistance, by performing the one side butt eutectic welding to the first layer or up to the second layer and performing the welding to the remaining layers by use of a fixed metal, in case the butt multilayer welding is performed to high purity ferrite stainless steel.
CONSTITUTION: In case the butt multilayer welding is performed to high purity ferrite stainless steel which contains Cr or 10W20wt%, the welding is performed by means of one side butt welding. Then the eutectic welding is performed to the first layer or up to the second layer by use of a welding rod having the same composition as the said stainless steel, and the welding is performed to the second layer or the third layer through the final layer by use of an austenite stainless steel welding rod or an inconel compound welding rod. Also, in case of a clad steel plate consisting of high purity ferrite stainless steel, the one side butt welding is performed by making the said stainless steel the first layer side, and also the welding is performed by the said welding rod and welding method.
