Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a perfect decoration on the molded form easily and enhance the working efficiency and producitivity by a method wherein the decoration is transferred by utilizing the heat of fusion supplied from the synthetic resin sheet immediately after it is molded.
CONSTITUTION: Pulverized synthetic resin material 16 is melted by a heater provided in the interior of a molding machine 12, and extruded into a sheetlike shape through a die 18. An infrared heater 28 is operated to preheat a silicone rubber roll 26 at the time when the decoration is firstly transferred onto the synthetic resin sheet 20, but it is not operated after the starting of the transfer because the heat of the sheet 20 is sufficient for the transfer. A transfer sheet 34 comprising transfer foils 32 laminated on a base sheet 30 is fed from a roll 36 and fed between the silicone rubber roll 26 and the sheet 20. At this time, the transfer foils 32 on the base sheet 30 is transferred onto the sheet 20, and only the base sheet 30 is taken up by a take-up roll 38. Then the decorated synthetic resin sheet 20 is subjected to embossing or the like as required.
