Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve a quality of stack by always gathering ends of sheets in aligned in order by a means wherein even when sheets are exhausted directly, paper sheets are made, by all means, to pass through a position adjusting system.
CONSTITUTION: In a sheet feeding system A, sheets are received through a paper sheet feeding roller couple 3 and in a position adjusting system B, paper sheets are made to move in contact with roller group (which is represented by a roller 8) arranged inclined in order that a side edge of sheet is gathered to a reference surface parallel to the sheet carrier direction, and paper sheets pass through a carrier roller couple 11 and are led to a branch part 14. The branch part 14 is provided with a branch plate 13 which can swing centered around a supporting shaft 12, and when the branch plate 13 is positioned at an evacuation position from a sheet carrier route as shown with a full line, paper sheets proceed forward straightly and are exhausted to the outside of the sorter body via a paper exhaust roller couple 22. Thus, even when sheets are exhausted directly, sheets are made, by all means, to pass through the position adjusting system.
