Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a small-size elastic surface wave resonator which excels in both the working efficiency and the mass-productivity, by forming the elastic surface wave resonator and the serial capacity into one body. CONSTITUTION:The inter-digital electrode 4 formed on the single surface of the piezoelectric substrate 3 is composed with a pair of comb-line electrodes 5 and 6 inserted alternately. The common part of one electrode 5 is extended to form the 1st conductive film 7 in the fixed form which functions as the capacitor electrode. And the 2nd conductive film 8 is formed on the other surface of the substrate 3 to oppose to the film 7. A function can be secured for the film 8 as the capacitor electrode and the terminal part of the other side. Thus the substrate 3 is inserted between the films 7 and 8, and the substrate 3 produces the electrostatic capacity between the films 7 and 8 as the dielectric substance. This electrostatic capacity is connected in series to the resonator consisting of the electrode 4 via the terminal part, i.e. between the other electrode 6 and the film 8.
