PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of an optical cable by providing protecting bodies consisting of two or more layers of gradually diminishing strength and outside diameters to the optical cable connecting to a submarine optical repeater casing or a submarine optical cable connecting box. CONSTITUTION:A pressure-resistant casing 5 for connection of a submarine optical cable 1 is connected to a cable detaining part casing 6 by way of a gimbal 3 enclosed by a bellows 4. A polyethylene mold 7a, and cable curving protecting bodies 8a, 8b harder than rubber are provided on the outside circumference of the optical cable 1, and the outside diameters of these protecting bodies are gradually smaller, the leading end part whereof is the same as the outside diameter of the cable 1. A rubber boot 2 with a diameter gradually decreasing toward the end is provided to cover thereon. Thereby, the damage of the submarine optical cable is prevented.
