Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a sludge scraping machine with excellent durability and functionality by employing high molecular synthtic resin as an essential material of a block link of a chain link and stainless steel not treated by heat as an main material of a side link and a connecting pin respectively for a scraping machine.
CONSTITUTION: High melecular synthetic resin is used as an elemental material of a block link 1 and a stainless steel is used as an elemental material of a side link 2, 3 and a connecting pin respectively. As a result, the coefficient of friction of a contact portion between a barrel portion 6 of a link 1 and a teeth surface 13 of a chain wheel 11, an outer diameter surface 8 of a pin 4 and a inner surface 7 of a barrel hole of a link 1 and, further, a link side surface 10 of a link 1 and a slde link side surface 9 is reduced to below 1/2 of the coefficient of friction in case of mutual metal contact. Therefore, both contact portions are smoothly lubricated and the abrasion at contact portions are reduced.
