Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a brazing defect in the root part and improve the quality by inclining the vertical base metal by a specified angle against the horizontal plate base metal and implementing injection of brazing from the narrow gap while heating the unconditionally changing joint gap.
CONSTITUTION: The vertical base metal 1 is inclined against the horizontal base metal 2 by a specified angle θ(3W45°), and the joint gap 3 in the root part is changed unconditionally in the plate thickness direction of the vertical plate base metal 1. When brazing material 6 is supplied from the direction that makes the narrower gap against the joint, the molten brazing material spreads evenly within the gap 3. When the vertical base metal 1 cannot be inclined, at the end of the vertical base metal 1 a beveling 10 is machined, and unconditional change is provided with the joint gap 3. Also, a groove may be machined in a joint composing part of the horizontal base metal 2, or the vertical base metal 1 is bent by an angle (45W87°) and the bent part may be brazed.
