Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide an antiphlogistic agnet containing a biuret compound as an effective component.
CONSTITUTION: An antiphlogistic agnet containing a biuret compound of formula 1 (R1 is lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, methoxy, etc.; R2 is H, lower alkyl or phenyl; R3 is phenyl, benzyl, pyridyl, thiazolyl, thienyl, etc.), as an effective component. Dose: 10W2,000mg, pref. 50W1,000mg of the compound 1 per day. Two or three times per day. Administered as an oral medicine, injection, suppository for rectal application, external preparation, etc. The compound of formula 1 can be prepared by reacting a urea derivative of formula 2 or 4 with an isocyanate derivative of formula 3 or 5 in the absence or presence of a solvent (e.g. ether, dioxane, etc.), at a temperature between room temp. and about the boiling point of the solvent. For example, 1-ethyl-5-phenylbiuret can be prepared at 55% yield.
