Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent damage of gaskets in assembling by installing a partitioning plate, which is provided between the main body of a rotor and a brush assembly, to the protecting cover of the brush assembly, and installing a gasket at the end of the main-body side of the partitioning plate, and contacting it to a rocker.
CONSTITUTION: A partitioning plate 8 is provided between the main body of a rotor and a brush assembly 5 in a rotary electric machine wherein the main body of the rotor and the brush assembly 5 are separately cooled by air, and said partitioning plate is fixed to a protective cover 7 of said brush assembly. A gasket 11 is attached to the edge of the main-body side of the protective cover 7, and a gasket 16 is attached to the end of the main-body side of the partitioning plate 8. The individual gaskets 11 and 16 are contacted to the end surfaces of a stator 1 and a rocker 6 which supports the brush assembly 5. In this constitution, since the protective cover 7 can be contacted to individual gaskets by moving it in the axial direction, the deformation and damage of the gaskets can be avoided, thereby the reliability of the machine can be enhanced.
