The known filter is apt to be clogged with the solid content remaining on the filter, and the oil filtration rate is likely to decrease. Further, since the degree of deodorization and decolorization of oil depends on the contact time with the adsorbent, it is difficult to obtain a sufficiently long contact time by only passing through one sheet-shaped filter. Although it is possible to extend the time by stacking a plurality of filters, it is difficult to say that such a filtration method is efficient because the filtration speed decreases when the filter in the uppermost layer is clogged.

The edible oil to be filtered enters through the inlet 16 and flows in the directions indicated by arrows AF. In filter 1,
The filtered oil flows from the upper end surface 6 toward the lower end surface 7, and the filtered oil exits from the lower end surface 7 through the discharge port 18. The oil can enter the filter 1 from the peripheral surface as well, but since the filter elements 3 overlap each other in multiple layers, the amount of oil that can enter the oil is negligible as compared with the amount from the upper end surface 6.

The mechanism by which oil is filtered by this filter 1 is
It is considered as follows. Since the filter element 3 has unevenness on the sheet surface by either crepe processing or embossing processing, a portion contacting with each other and a portion separating from each other occur between the filter elements 3 that are wound and overlap each other. At that time, when the basis weight and the apparent density of the filter element 3 are the above-mentioned conditions, the contacting portions are intermittently present, and the separating portions have an appropriate separation distance, and the upper and lower end surfaces of the filter 1 are provided. A complicatedly curved oil passage is formed between 6 and 7. FIG. 3 is a schematic view of the passage 100. The passage 100 is defined by overlapping filter elements 3A and 3B,
It has a large number of bent portions 101 and straight portions 102. When the dirty oil enters the passage 100 from the upper end surface 6 of the filter 1, the solid content 105 in the oil is captured by the upper end surface 6 of the filter 1, and the bent portion 101 and the straight portion 102 of the passage 100.
Are captured by attaching to. In the bent portion 101, the inclination of the passage 100 is gentle and the oil flow is slow, so that the trapped amount is particularly large.

The passage 100 thus bent can have a very long distance as compared with the length of the cylindrical filter 1.
Therefore, the dirty oil flowing through the passage 100 can come into contact with activated clay or activated carbon, which is an adsorbent contained in the filter element 3, for a long time, and the degree of deodorization / decolorization progresses depending on the time. It will be.

FIG. 4 is a diagram showing an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in FIG.
Each has a donut shape, and a large number of the donuts are stacked to form a columnar body. The peripheral surface 30 is defined, and a duct 31 extending vertically to the center is defined. (B)
As shown in FIG. 5, the columnar body has an apparent density of 0.20 to 20 due to the top fixing plate 32, the bottom fixing plate 33, and the rod-shaped or band-shaped fixing member 34 connecting these plates 32, 33.
It is sandwiched so as to be 0.40 g / cm 3 .
As shown in (C) which is a cross-sectional view taken along the line CC of (B), a discharge port 35 having substantially the same diameter as the duct 31 is provided at the center of the bottom fixing plate 33. When this filter 1 is used by being housed in a container 11 similar to that shown in FIG. 2, oil permeates between the filter elements 3 from the edge of the filter element 3 looking into the peripheral surface 8 of the filter 1, and the same as in FIG. After being filtered by such a mechanism, it advances to the pipe line 31 and goes out of the container 11 through the discharge port 35. In this filter 1, the filter element 3
In addition to the donut shape, the shape can be an appropriate shape such as a rectangle or a square.

In the filter 1 according to the present invention, the overlapping filter elements 3 have an apparent density of 0.2.
If it is less than 0 g / cm 3 , the separation dimension between the filter elements 3 becomes too large, and expansion and contraction due to humidity change during storage of the filter 1 are likely to occur, or deformation of the filter element 3 due to oil pressure is likely to occur. Or Therefore, it becomes difficult for the filter 1 to maintain a desired shape. If the apparent density is greater than 0.40 g / cm 3 , the spacing between the filter elements 3 will be too small. As a result, in the case of the filter 1 of FIG. 1, most of the solid content in the oil is captured by the upper end surface 6 and the upper end surface 6 is blocked, and the filtration speed is likely to decrease. Further, since the oil has to flow under a high pressure, the pressure often damages the filter element 3.

The amount of activated clay of the filter element 3 is 2
If it is less than 0% by weight, in order to secure a sufficient contact time between the oil and the activated clay, for example, in the case of the filter 1 of FIG. 1, its length may have to be lengthened. Thereby, the filter container 11 becomes unnecessarily large. On the other hand, if the amount of activated clay is more than 80% by weight, the strength of the filter element 3 is significantly reduced, and it becomes difficult to maintain the form of paper. The activated clay and activated carbon preferably have a particle size of 85% or more when passing through 200 mesh, which facilitates paper making of the filter element 3 and also the adsorption efficiency when compared with the amount of the adsorbent used. Becomes higher.

The basis weight of the filter element 3 is 20 g / m
If it is less than 2 , the filter element 3 is too thin to maintain the strength as a sheet. Also, the basis weight is 1
If it is larger than 50 g / m 2 , the filter element 3 becomes too thick, and the adsorption amount on the surface portion of the sheet reaches saturation even though there is an adsorption force in the central portion of the sheet, and the filter 1 is replaced. Occasionally, it will be necessary.

The resin binder binds activated clay or activated carbon to the cellulose fibers to facilitate the papermaking of the filter element 3 containing a required amount of the adsorbent and prevent the adsorbent from falling off from the filter element 3. In order to prevent this, a cationic or anionic polymer flocculant can be used.

The filter according to the present invention comprises a cellulose fiber and an adsorbent, and since the filter elements having unevenness on the sheet surface due to crepe processing or embossing are superposed on each other, even if the whole is relatively small, it is large. The filtration area can be obtained. As a result, this filter does not easily become clogged, and moreover, the solid content of soiled edible oil can be effectively captured.
