Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the novel heat generator comprising sugar and an inorganic salt generating heat in the presence of water, easily handled, free from the anxiety of a fire, not restricting a specific place for heating and thermally insulating foods, and easily disposable after use. CONSTITUTION:The heat generator generating heat by the contact of water comprises (A) an inorganic salt generating heat in the presence of the water and (B) sugar preferably in a weight ratio of 100:50-150. The component A is preferably magnesium chloride having good safely and high solubility in water. When the elongation of the heat-generating time is required granular sugar or powder sugar is preferably used as the component B. The amount of water used for the heat generator is preferably 50-200 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the component A in the heat generator.

2. Description of the Related Art Open flames are often used by heating methanol or the like for heating so that food is not cooled at a party venue or the like. However, using an open flame in a place where many people gather is a fire hazard. In addition, a heating material that uses the heat of oxidation of iron is also used in portable warmers, but it is difficult to dispose of it after use. As a heating element for instant foods and frozen foods, a heating element obtained by mixing magnesium chloride with a water-soluble resin (starch, wheat flour, starch powder, kudzu powder, paste, gelatin, glue, etc.) (JP-A-60-1).
20784) is proposed and used as a heat-generating package for retort food, but even if this is used to keep food warm with a party etc., starch etc. are difficult to dissolve in water, so it is troublesome to dispose of it. It takes.

That is, the present invention is a heat-generating material that generates heat with water consisting of inorganic salts and sugar that generate heat due to the presence of water. Examples of the inorganic salts that generate heat due to the presence of water include magnesium chloride, calcium oxide, alum, and aluminum sulfate. Magnesium chloride, which has good safety and high solubility in water, is preferable.
Examples of sugar include granular and powdery ones, more specifically granular sugar and granulated sugar.

The maximum temperature and duration during heat generation can be controlled by the mixing ratio of the inorganic salts and sugar in the heat generating material. When the proportion of inorganic salts is higher than that of sugar, the maximum temperature becomes higher and the duration becomes shorter. If the sugar is high, the maximum temperature will decrease, but the duration will be longer. Therefore, the mixing ratio of the inorganic salt and the sugar is preferably 50 to 150 parts by weight of sugar with respect to 100 parts by weight of the inorganic salt. Among sugars, when granular sugar or powdered sugar is used, the duration can be further extended.

The amount of water used for the heat generating material is set to about 50 to 200 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the inorganic salts in the heat generating material. If it is less than 50 parts by weight, heat generation is insufficient, and if it exceeds 200 parts by weight, the temperature is rather lowered.

The used heat-generating material dissolves in water and is therefore thrown away in a sink or the like. Starch is insoluble in cold water and becomes paste-like in hot water, which makes disposal difficult. In contrast, sugar has excellent solubility in water and is easy to dispose of.

EXAMPLES The present invention will be described in more detail with reference to Examples and Comparative Examples. As an inorganic salt, magnesium chloride was mixed with sugar (granular sugar, granular sugar, powdered sugar), and water was added to a plate-shaped body pressure-molded at 40 Kg / cm 2 to generate heat. The contents are shown in Table 1.
