Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a degree of frequency modulation from being changed even when an operating point of a voltage controlled oscillator circuit is changed to revise a transmission frequency. CONSTITUTION:A variable attenuation circuit 8 adjusts a level of a base band signal Sb in response to data read from a ROM 9. The ROM 9 stores in advance data used to correct a change in an FM modulation sensitivity calculated from an f-V characteristic of a voltage controlled oscillator circuit(VCO) 1 and relevant data are read from the ROM 9 in response to an oscillation frequency control signal Cf setting an oscillation frequency of the voltage controlled oscillator circuit 1. A superimposition circuit 7 superimposes the base band signal via a variable attenuation circuit 8 onto a control voltage Vf generated by a phase locked loop and sends the result to the voltage controlled oscillator circuit 1.
