Description

The present invention relates to a method for knitting a tubular knitted fabric that includes a tubular base portion and a string-like portion extending in the knitting width direction of the base portion.

Patent Document 1 discloses knitting of a knitted fabric including a single-layer base knitted fabric (base portion) and a string-like knitted fabric (string-like portion) extending in the knitting width direction of the base portion using a flat knitting machine. A method is disclosed. In this knitting method, the base portion is knitted by needleless knitting with empty needles between adjacent stitches, and the string portion is knitted while moving in the knitting width direction using the empty needles. The number is increasing. Further, Patent Document 1 suggests that the base part can be made into a cylindrical shape, and that the starting end and the terminal end of the string-like part can be fixed to the base part.

Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 2014-136841

In the above knitting method, since the base portion is formed by needleless knitting, the stitches of the base portion become coarse. Here, in the tubular knitted fabric, a string-like part extending in the knitting width direction of the base part may be knitted inside the base part formed in a tubular shape. For example, a string-like portion may be formed inside the collar of a sweater. The string-like part of the collar is used to hang a sweater on a hook or to attach a price tag using a tag loop. However, when knitting a string-like part inside a cylindrical base part using the knitting method of Patent Document 1, it is considered necessary to further increase the number of empty needles provided between adjacent stitches. It will be done. In that case, the stitches in the base portion will become coarse.

In view of the above circumstances, one of the objects of the present invention is to provide a method of knitting a tubular knitted fabric in which the stitches of the base part do not become coarse even when a string-like part is knitted inside the tubular base part. be.

The method for knitting a tubular knitted fabric of the present invention is as follows:
Using a flat knitting machine equipped with a needle bed on one side and a needle bed on the other side that face each other in the front and rear,
A method of knitting a tubular knitted fabric comprising a tubular base portion and a string-like portion extending in the knitting width direction of the base portion,
The base portion is knitted by all-needle knitting, in which a first knitted fabric portion that is locked to the needle bed on one side and a second knitted fabric portion that is locked to the needle bed on the other side are connected in a cylindrical shape. Process A and
By defining a start point and an end point spaced apart in the knitting width direction in the first knitted fabric portion, and forming a widening stitch that connects to the start point, the stitches of the string-like portion that become the starting end of the string-like portion are formed. Process B of organizing;
Step C: increasing the number of knitting courses of the string-like part inside the base part while gradually moving the locking position of the stitches of the string-like part toward the end point side;
a step D of connecting a stitch of the string-like part that is the end of the string-like part to the end point,
In the step C,
a step W of moving the stitches of the string-like part from the one side needle bed to the other side needle bed;
The stitch unit that was adjacent to the end point before performing the step W on the stitches of the string-like portion is moved to the empty needle area formed on the one side needle bed in the step W. Process X and
a step Y of moving the stitches of the string-like portion to a new empty needle area formed on the one side needle bed in the step X;
Step Z of knitting the stitches of the string-like portion and retracting the yarn feeder of the flat knitting machine used for knitting to the end point side is repeated.

The base portion in the method of knitting a tubular knitted fabric of the present invention may have a cylindrical shape without an opening, or may have a cylindrical shape partially having an opening. Further, in step X of the method for knitting a tubular knitted fabric of the present invention, the stitch unit is moved to the empty needle area via the knitting needles closer to the start point than the string-like part on the other side needle bed.

Here, in the method of knitting a tubular knitted fabric of the present invention, Step W, Step You can go anytime as long as you are in good condition. Specifically, when knitting the string-like part on one side needle bed, step Z can be performed when the knitting yarn of the first knitted fabric part does not overlap inside the stitches of the string-like part. For example, process Z can be performed between process X and process Y, or after process Y. Note that, as shown in Embodiment 1 to be described later, it is permissible for process X and process Y to be completed almost simultaneously.

As one form of the method for knitting the tubular knitted fabric of the present invention,
An example is a form in which the string-like portion is knitted by bag knitting.

As one form of the method for knitting the tubular knitted fabric of the present invention,
An example is a form in which the widening is formed by splitting.

According to the method of knitting a tubular knitted fabric of the present invention, even if the base part is knitted by all-needle knitting, it is possible to knit the string-like part extending inside the base part. Since the base part is knitted by all-needle knitting, the stitches in the base part do not become coarse, so the appearance of the tubular knitted fabric is good.

By bag-knitting the string-like portion, a string-like portion having a substantially circular cross-sectional shape can be knitted. Such a string-like part is three-dimensional and easy to handle. For example, when the string-like portion is used to attach a tag, it is easy to pinch the string-like portion and attach the tag to the string-like portion.

By forming the starting end of the string-like portion by increasing the split, the string-like portion is firmly connected to the base portion.

≪Knitwear≫
The tubular knitted fabric 1 shown in FIG. 1 is a sweater. The sweater includes a body 5 and a left sleeve 6L and a right sleeve 6R connected to the body 5. The body 5 of this example is configured by a front body 5F and a back body 5B connected seamlessly in a cylindrical shape. The body 5 corresponds to the cylindrical base portion 2 in the method of knitting a cylindrical knitted fabric of the present invention. Further, the back body 5B and the front body 5F correspond to the first knitted fabric portion 21 and the second knitted fabric portion 22, respectively, in the method of knitting a tubular knitted fabric of the present invention.

In the sweater 1 of this example, the string-like portion 3 is formed inside the collar on the back body 5B side. The string portion 3 extends in the knitting width direction of the body 5 (base portion 2). The string portion 3 is used as a hanging string or for attaching a price tag with a plastic tag loop. The starting end 3S and the terminal end 3E of the string-like part 3 are connected to the base part 2, and the middle part of the string-like part 3 is not connected to the base part 2. The direction of the stitches of the base portion 2 (in the wale direction) is directed upward in the paper. On the other hand, the direction of the stitches of the string-like portion 3 (in the wale direction) is oriented in a direction that intersects the direction of the stitches of the base portion 2.

≪Knitting method for tubular knitted fabric≫
Next, an example of knitting the string-like portion 3 included in the sweater 1 shown in FIG. 1 will be described based on the knitting process diagrams shown in FIGS. 2 and 3.

The S+ number on the left side of FIGS. 2 and 3 indicates the number of the knitting process, FD indicates the lower front needle bed, FU indicates the upper front needle bed, BD indicates the lower rear needle bed, and BU indicates the upper rear needle bed. FD and FU correspond to one side needle bed in the present invention, and BD and BU correspond to the other side needle bed. In the figure, black dots indicate knitting needles, capital letters indicate the position of the knitting needles, inverted triangles indicate the yarn feeder 9, and straight arrows indicate the movement of stitches. A circle mark or a U-shaped mark indicates a stitch, a double circle mark indicates an overlapped stitch, and a black circle mark indicates that a knit stitch is knitted. In FIGS. 2 and 3, the first knitted fabric portion 21 that becomes the back body 5B is knitted on the FD and FU sides, and the second knitted fabric portion 22 that becomes the front body 5F is knitted on the BD and BU sides. In FIGS. 2 and 3, for convenience of explanation, the number of stitches is shown to be smaller than that of the actual sweater 1. Furthermore, in FIGS. 2 and 3, the formation position of the string-like portion 3 is not the center of the back body 5B, and the length of the string-like portion 3 relative to the back body 5B is also different from the length in the actual sweater 1.

Before knitting the string-like part 3 of FIG. 1, the body 5 (base part 2) is knitted to the position indicated by the two-dot chain line by all-needle knitting (step A). S0 in FIG. 2 shows a state in which the first knitted fabric portion 21 is knitted on the knitting needles A to L of the FD, and the second knitted fabric portion 22 is knitted on the knitting needles A to L of the BD. The first knitted fabric portion 21 and the second knitted fabric portion 22 are connected in a cylindrical shape, and no empty needles exist within the formation range of both knitted fabric portions 21 and 22 in FD and BD.

Knitting of the string-like portion 3 is started from the state S0. First, a start point 21S and an end point 21E that are spaced apart in the knitting width direction in the first knitted fabric portion 21 of S0 are defined. The start point 21S is a point where the starting ends 3S of the string-like portions 3 are connected, and the end point 21E is a place where the terminal ends 3E of the string-like portions 3 are connected. In this example, the stitches of the first knitted fabric portion 21 that are caught on the knitting needles H and I of the FD constitute the start point 21S, and the stitches of the first knitted fabric portion 21 that are caught on the knitting needles B and C of the FD constitute the start point 21S. constitutes the end point 21E. The number of stitches at both locations 21S and 21E may be one.

In S1, the yarn feeder 9 is moved to the left, and the knitting needles I and H of the FD are continuously increased to form an increased stitch 30 that connects to the starting point 21S (Step B). The widening stitch 30 is a stitch of the string-like portion 3 that becomes the starting end 3S of the string-like portion 3. The extra increase involves moving the stitch that is locked on the knitting needle I(H) of the FD in S0 to the knitting needle I(H) of the opposing BU, and also moves the stitch pulled out from the moved stitch to the knitting needle I(H) of the FD. This is the knitting motion formed in H).

Here, the yarn feeder 9 in this example is different from the yarn feeder used for knitting the base portion 2, but the same yarn feeder as the yarn feeder used for knitting the base portion 2 can also be used. Further, the widening 30 can also be formed by a method other than widening. For example, after tucking the stitches of knitting needle I of FD, forming a stitch on knitting needle H of BU, and then tucking the stitches of knitting needle H of FD, forming a stitch on knitting needle I of BU. Can be mentioned. In this case, the FD hook is increased by 30.

In S2, the stitches of the string-like portion 3 are knitted, and the yarn feeder 9 used for knitting is retracted to the end point 21E side. In this example, the string-like portion 3 is knitted by bag knitting. Specifically, after moving the yarn feeder 9 to the right to form a stitch on the knitting needle I of the FD, move the yarn feeder 9 to the left to form a stitch on the knitting needle H of the FD, and then move the yarn feeder 9 to the left to form a stitch on the knitting needle H of the FD. is moved to the right to form a stitch on the knitting needle I of the FD, and then the yarn feeder 9 is moved to the left to form a stitch on the knitting needle H of the FD. Here, the fabric is knitted with two front stitches side by side, but it is formed into a bag shape in which the back surfaces of the two front stitches are in contact with each other. By knitting the string-like part 3 by bag knitting, the string-like part 3 having a thickness and a substantially circular cross section is formed. Since such a string-like part 3 is easy to hold, it becomes easy to attach a tag or the like to the string-like part 3.

Although S2 is not essential, by knitting the string portion 3 in S2, the stitches of the string portion 3 that are locked to the FD are not directly connected to the stitches of the first knitted fabric portion 21. Therefore, it becomes easier to move the string-like portion 3 in a subsequent process.

After S3, the number of knitting courses of the string part 3 is increased inside the base part 2 while gradually moving the locking position of the stitches of the string part 3 toward the end point 21E (step C). In Step C, Step W, Step X, Step Y, and Step Z, which will be described later, are repeated.

In S3, the BD and BU are racked two pitches to the right, and the stitches of the string-like portion 3 that are locked on the knitting needles H and I of the FD are moved to the knitting needles F and G of the BU, respectively (step W). The stitches of the string-like portion 3 are arranged closer to the end point 21E than the stitches of the start point 21S. Since BU is racked two pitches in the right direction, it can be considered that the stitches of the string-like portion 3 have substantially moved toward the end point 21E. The racking pitch is selected so that the movement distance of the stitches in the knitting width direction is minimized.

In S4, the BD and BU are racked two pitches to the left, and the stitch at the starting point 21S that is locked to the BU is moved to the empty needle area 4 of the FD. The empty needle area 4 is an area consisting of empty needles formed in the FD as the string-like portion 3 moves in S3 (process W).

In S5, the BD and BU are racked two pitches to the left, and the stitch unit 20 that is locked on the knitting needles F and G of the FD is moved to the knitting needles H and I of the BU (part of step X). The stitch unit 20 is a collection of stitches that were adjacent to the stitches of the string-like portion 3 on the end point 21E side before performing S3 (process W). The number of stitches constituting the stitch unit 20 is preferably the same as the number of stitches in the knitting width direction of the string-like portion 3. In this example, since the number of stitches in the knitting width direction of the string portion 3 is two, the number of stitches constituting the stitch unit 20 is also two. The number of stitches in the stitch unit 20 may be one. In this S5, the stitches at the start point 21S that are locked on the knitting needles H and I of the FD are also simultaneously moved to the knitting needles J and K of the BU.

In S6, the BD and BU are racked two pitches to the right, and the stitch unit 20 is moved to the empty needle area 4 (remaining part of process X). Furthermore, in S6, the stitches of the string-like portion 3 are moved to the new empty needle area 40 formed in the FD in S5 (part of step X) (step Y). The new empty needle area 40 is the knitting needles F and G of the FD. In this S6, process X and process Y are completed at the same time.

In S7, the stitches of the string portion 3 are knitted by bag knitting, and the yarn feeder 9 is retracted to the end point 21E side (Step Z). Bag knitting is performed in the same manner as S2. Here, the stitches of the string-like portion 3 can be knitted when the knitting yarn of the first knitted fabric portion 21 does not overlap inside the stitches of the string-like portion 3. This stitch formation of the string-like portion 3 can also be performed at the BU position of S4. In that case, the stitches of the string-like portion 3 become back stitches. Alternatively, in S6, only the stitch unit 20 may be moved to the empty needle area 4, and then the stitches of the string portion 3 may be knitted, and the stitches of the string portion 3 may be moved to the empty needle area 40 in S7. In that case as well, the stitches of the string-like portion 3 become reverse stitches.

After S7, the same organization as in S3 to S7 is performed. First, in S8 of FIG. 3, the BD and BU are racked two pitches to the right, and the stitches of the string-like portion 3 are moved to the knitting needles D and E of the BU (Step W). In S9, the BD and BU are racked two pitches to the left, and the stitches held by the knitting needles H and I of the FD are moved to the knitting needles H and I of the BU. In S10, the BD and BU are racked two pitches to the left, and the stitch unit 20 is moved to the knitting needles F and G of the BU (part of process X). In S11, the BD and BU are racked two pitches to the right, the stitch unit 20 is moved to the empty needle area 4 (remaining step X), and the stitches of the string-like portion 3 are moved to the empty needle area 40 (step Y). In S12, the same bag knitting as in S2 and S7 is performed on the string-like portion 3.

Since the knitting of the string portion 3 has been completed in S12, the terminal end 3E of the string portion 3 is joined to the stitch at the end point 21E of the first knitted fabric portion 21 (Step D). Specifically, in S13, the BD and BU are racked two pitches to the right, and the terminal end 3E is moved to the BU. In S14, BD and BU are racked two pitches to the left, the stitch at the end 3E is overlapped with the stitch at the end point 21E, and the stitches of the first knitted fabric portion 21 that are held by the knitting needles F and G of the FD are racked at the BU. Move to knitting needles F and G. In S15, the BD and BU are racked two pitches to the left, and all stitches locked on the BU are moved to the FD.

As shown in S15, the knitting of the string-like portion 3 has been completed, and the arrangement of the stitches of the first knitted fabric portion 21 and the second knitted fabric portion 22 of the base portion 2 is in the same state as S0. . From the state of S15, the BD and BU are racked two pitches to the right, and the base portion 2 is knitted in one course using tubular knitting, so that the terminal end 3E of the string portion 3 is joined to the base portion 2.

The number of knitting courses (the number of stitches in the wale direction) of the string-like portion 3 may be adjusted as appropriate depending on the use of the string-like portion 3 and the characteristics of the knitting yarn of the string-like portion 3. The length of the string portion 3 in the wale direction may be the same as the length from the start point 21S to the end point 21E in the base portion 2, or may be short or long. The length of the string portion 3 can be changed by adjusting the number of string portions 3 knitted in S2, S7, and S12.

Unlike this example, the number of knitting courses of the base portion 2 may be increased before performing step D. For example, after S12, the knitting course of the base portion 2 is increased by turning back knitting or the like. After that, by performing S13 to S15, the terminal end 3E of the string-like portion 3 can be connected to a position higher than the starting end 3S of the base portion 2 in the wale direction. In other words, it is possible to knit the string-like part 3 that extends diagonally with respect to the base part 2. In addition, when forming the string-like part 3 on the front body 5F in Fig. 1, BD and BU in Figs. 2 and 3 are used as one side needle bed, FD and FU are the other side needle beds, and the front body 5F is the first knitted fabric part 21. The back body 5B may be regarded as the second knitted fabric portion 22 and knitted in the same manner as S1 to S15.

According to the method of knitting a tubular knitted fabric of Embodiment 1 described above, even if the string portion 3 is formed inside the base portion 2, the base portion 2 can be knitted by all-needle knitting. If the base portion 2 is knitted by all-needle knitting, the stitches of the base portion 2 will not be coarse, and the sweater 1 will have a good appearance. In addition, in this example, since the stitches of the string-like portion 3 are gradually moved, the end stitches of the first knitted fabric portion 21 and the end stitches of the second knitted fabric portion 22 are three stitches in the knitting width direction. Since the stitches do not separate further, the knitting yarn connecting the stitches at both ends will not break.

<Embodiment 2>
The number of stitches in the knitting width direction of the string-like portion 3 may be three or more. If the number of stitches in the knitting width direction of the string-like portion 3 is three, the string-like portion 3 may be knitted in the same manner as in the first embodiment and connected to the base portion 2. When the number of stitches in the knitting width direction of the string portion 3 is 4 or more, it is divided into a plurality of string portion units consisting of 3 stitches or less, and the string portion units are sequentially terminated from the end point 21E side. It is better to move it to the location 21E side. At this time, the movement of the stitch unit 20 for forming the empty needle region 4 is performed using the knitting needles closer to the start point 21S than the string-like unit.

<Embodiment 3>
By applying the method of knitting the tubular knitted fabric of Embodiment 1, it is also possible to knit the string-like portion 3 extending outside the tubular shape of the base portion 2. Specifically, an empty needle region 4 is formed, and the stitches of the string portion 3 are knitted while moving the locking position of the string portion 3 to the end point 21E side through the empty needle region 4. repeat. The string-like portions 3 can be formed on the inside and outside of the base portion 2 at the same height in the wale direction.

Alternatively, the string portion 3 may be passed through the base portion 2 inside and outside during knitting. For example, the string-like portion 3 knitted inside the base portion 2 may be brought out to the outside of the base portion 2 and then the string-like portion 3 may be connected to the base portion 2.

<Embodiment 4>
The base portion 2 of Embodiment 1 had a configuration in which there was no opening in the circumferential direction. On the other hand, a structure in which the base portion 2 has an opening in a portion in the circumferential direction, such as a henley neck or cardigan, may also be used. In that case, by forming the string-like part 3 so as to connect the opening parts, the tubular knitted fabric 1 can be provided with the base part 2 in which the opening part does not open too much. By forming the string-like portion 3 inside the base portion 2, the string-like portion 3 can be made inconspicuous. By forming the string-like part 3 on the outside of the base part 2, the opening part can be decorated with the string-like part 3.

In addition, the tubular knitted fabric 1 obtained by the tubular knitted fabric knitting method of the present invention is not limited to knitwear. For example, the method for knitting a tubular knitted fabric of the present invention can be used for knitting industrial materials such as seat covers.
