Claims (11)
- 組織を治療するための電気外科システムであって、
遠位端および近位端を有するシャフト、ならびに前記遠位端の付近に配設された活性電極を備える電気外科プローブと、
前記活性電極に高周波電圧を送達するための高周波電源であって、前記活性電極およびリターン電極に結合された高周波電源と、
電流センサからの信号を受け取って処理するために電気的に接続されたコントローラであって、前記電流センサは、低電圧出力が前記活性電極または前記リターン電極に送達されると、前記高周波電源に関連する電流出力を測定するように動作可能である、コントローラと
を備え、
前記コントローラは、受け取られた前記電流出力が、少なくとも1つの測定値に応じて変化するように設定された上限を有する範囲内となるまで、治療電圧出力の送達を防止するようにプログラミングされ、前記少なくとも1つの測定値は温度を含み、前記温度が上昇するにつれて前記上限は上昇する、電気外科システム。 - 前記少なくとも1つの測定値は、電極回路インピーダンス、印加電圧、印加電流、および供給電力から構成される群より選択される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記コントローラは、温度センサからの信号を受け取って処理するために電気的に接続され、前記温度センサは、前記活性電極の周辺の導電性流体中に配設される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つの測定値は、温度センサから測定された温度を含む、請求項1〜3の何れか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記コントローラは、前記電流出力が前記範囲内である場合に、前記高周波電源を前記治療電圧出力に自動的に調節するように動作可能である、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記コントローラは、前記電流出力が前記範囲外である場合に、前記高周波電源による前記治療電圧出力の送達を自動的に中断するように動作可能である、請求項5に記載のシステム。
- 前記コントローラは、少なくとも1つの一時停止期間の間に前記低電圧出力を送達し、次いで前記電流出力が前記範囲内になると前記治療電圧出力に戻るように動作可能である、請求項6に記載のシステム。
- 電流上限は、温度が上昇するにつれて上昇するように修正される、請求項4に記載のシステム。
- 前記一時停止期間は少なくとも5msである、請求項7に記載のシステム。
- 前記範囲は、前記電気外科プローブの高電極回路インピーダンス故障または前記活性電極および前記リターン電極に隣接する不十分な導電性流体を検出するように動作可能な下限を有する、請求項2に記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つの測定値は、前記電気外科プローブが治療エネルギーを送達している合計時間の長さをさらに含む、請求項2に記載のシステム。
