- 2つ以上の電池セルまたは単位モジュールが内蔵されている構造の電池モジュールが順に積層されている電池モジュールアセンブリが収納されている電池パックケースであって、
単位モジュールの冷却のための冷媒が、単位モジュールの積層方向に垂直な方向に電池モジュールの一側から対向側に流動できるように、冷媒流入口と冷媒排出口が、互いに反対方向に電池パックケースの上部及び下部に位置しており、
電池パックケースと電池モジュールとの間には、冷媒の流動を案内する傾斜プレートが形成されており、
前記電池パックケースは、一対の上部ケース及び下部ケースを含んでおり、
前記上部ケースには、前記傾斜プレートとの間の空間で冷媒が前記電池モジュールの一側から対向側に流動できるように一対の冷媒流入口が、前記下部ケースには、前記冷媒流入口から流入した冷媒が排出される冷媒排出口が、互いに反対方向にそれぞれ形成されており、
前記冷媒流入口は、第1電池モジュール群に冷媒が流入する第1冷媒流入口、及び第2電池モジュール群に冷媒が流入する第2冷媒流入口を含んでおり、前記冷媒排出口は、前記第1冷媒流入口と前記第2冷媒流入口との間の仮想の垂直中心線上に形成されていることを特徴とする、電池パックケース。 - 前記傾斜プレートは、電池パックケースと一体に形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パックケース。
- 前記電池セルは、ニッケル−水素二次電池またはリチウム二次電池であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パックケース。
- 前記電池セルは、金属層及び樹脂層を含むラミネートシートの電池ケースに電極組立体が内蔵されているパウチ型電池セルであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パックケース。
- 前記単位モジュールは、電極端子が直列に互いに接続されており、前記電極端子の接続部が折り曲げられて積層構造をなしている2つまたはそれ以上の電池セル、及び前記電極端子の部位を除いて前記電池セルの外面を取り囲むように互いに結合される一対のセルカバーを含んで構成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パックケース。
- 前記冷媒は空気であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パックケース。
- 前記一対の冷媒流入口である第1冷媒流入口及び第2冷媒流入口は、それぞれ独立した冷媒流路を有し、互いに離隔していることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パックケース。
- 冷媒は、前記一対の冷媒流入口である第1冷媒流入口及び第2冷媒流入口にそれぞれ流入し、前記冷媒排出口の部位で合流した後に共に排出されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パックケース。
- 前記一対の冷媒流入口である第1冷媒流入口及び第2冷媒流入口は、前記上部ケースの上側方向に形成されており、前記冷媒排出口は、前記冷媒流入口から垂直断面視で前記冷媒流入口に対して60°〜120°の範囲内に形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パックケース。
- 前記傾斜プレートは、電池パックケースと電池モジュールアセンブリの上部及び/又は下部との間に形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パックケース。
- 前記傾斜プレートは、垂直断面視で、前記冷媒流入口から前記冷媒排出口の方向に線形的に減少する形状に形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項10に記載の電池パックケース。
- 前記傾斜プレートは、垂直断面視で、前記冷媒流入口から前記冷媒排出口の方向に線形的に増加する形状に形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項10に記載の電池パックケース。
- 前記電池パックケースは、単位モジュールの積層方向に対応する長さが単位モジュールの幅方向に対応する長さよりも相対的に長く形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パックケース。
- 前記冷媒排出口の幅は、前記電池パックケースの幅を基準として10〜70%の大きさを有していることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パックケース。
- 前記冷媒流入口及び/又は冷媒排出口には、冷媒の流動駆動力を提供できるように駆動ファンがさらに装着されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パックケース。
- 請求項1から15のいずれか一項に記載の電池パックケースに電池モジュールアセンブリが装着されている構造の電池パック。
- 請求項16に記載の電池パックを電源として使用することを特徴とする、デバイス。
- 前記デバイスは、電気自動車、ハイブリッド電気自動車、プラグインハイブリッド電気自動車、または電力貯蔵装置であることを特徴とする、請求項17に記載のデバイス。
