Description
Claims (16)
- 近位開口部、遠位端、およびそれらの間に延在している流体通路を有するカテーテルアダプタであり、前記カテーテルアダプタの前記遠位端は静脈内カテーテルを収容し、前記流体通路の部分は、第1の直径を有する、カテーテルアダプタと、
前記流体通路の前記部分の内部で圧縮または収縮状態と非圧縮または弛緩状態との間で滑動可能に配設されている隔壁であり、前記隔壁は第1の直径に少なくとも等しい第2の直径を有し、それにより前記隔壁が前記流体通路を近位流体室と遠位流体室とに分割しており、前記隔壁を貫通する通路をもたらすスリットをさらに有する、隔壁と、
前記遠位流体室の内部に配置されている基部を有しかつ前記隔壁の前記スリット内での挿入のために構成されているプローブを有する隔壁アクチュエータであり、カテーテルアセンブリの使用中に、外部デバイスが前記カテーテルアダプタの前記近位開口部に挿入されることに応じて、前記隔壁が非圧縮または弛緩状態位置から前記圧縮または収縮位置までスライドされるとき、前記プローブは前記スリットを開位置に付勢し、前記隔壁アクチュエータの前記プローブの外面が円錐形状を有し、前記隔壁が前記圧縮または収縮位置に向けてスライドされ、かつ、前記隔壁アクチュエータが前記スリットを通して押されると、前記隔壁が前記プローブの外面と前記流体通路の前記部分の内面との間で前進して圧縮され、前記隔壁の前記圧縮が前記隔壁を近位方向に付勢し、これにより、前記外部デバイスが前記近位開口部から引き抜かれるとき、前記隔壁が非圧縮または弛緩状態位置に戻り、前記プローブの内面が前記プローブの前記外面の円錐表面に対応して、円錐表面を有する、隔壁アクチュエータと
を備えることを特徴とする多重使用血液制御カテーテルアセンブリ。 - 前記カテーテルアダプタの内面上に遠位ストッパをさらに備え、前記隔壁が圧縮された場合、前記遠位ストッパは、前記隔壁の遠位端が遠位方向に移動しないようにするように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記隔壁の前記遠位端は圧縮切欠きをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記カテーテルアダプタは、前記隔壁アクチュエータの前記基部を受容するように構成されている凹表面をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記基部の最大内径が前記隔壁アクチュエータの前記プローブの最小内径より大きいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記隔壁アクチュエータの前記プローブは、中空の釘状部の内部と前記中空の釘状部の外部との間の流体連通を可能にするように構成されている窓を有する前記中空の釘状部を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- 多重使用血液制御カテーテルアセンブリを製造する方法であって、
近位開口部、遠位端、およびそれらの間に延在している流体通路を有するカテーテルアダプタであり、前記カテーテルアダプタの前記遠位端はカテーテルを収容し、前記流体通路の部分は、第1の直径を有する、カテーテルアダプタを設けるステップと、
隔壁を、前記流体通路の前記部分内で圧縮状態と非圧縮状態との間で滑動可能に配設するステップであり、前記隔壁は第1の直径に少なくとも等しい第2の直径を有し、それにより前記隔壁は前記流体通路を近位流体室と遠位流体室とに分割しており、前記隔壁は前記隔壁を貫通する通路をもたらすスリットをさらに有する、配設するステップと、
前記遠位流体室の内部に隔壁アクチュエータの基部を固定取り付けするステップであり、前記隔壁アクチュエータは、前記基部から外側に延出し、かつ、前記隔壁の前記スリット内への挿入のために構成されるプローブをさらに備え、カテーテルアセンブリの使用中に、外部デバイスが前記カテーテルアダプタの前記近位開口部に挿入されることに応じて、前記隔壁が非圧縮または弛緩状態位置から圧縮または収縮位置までスライドされるとき、前記プローブは前記スリットを開位置に付勢し、前記隔壁アクチュエータの前記プローブの外面が円錐形状を有し、前記隔壁が前記圧縮または収縮位置に向けてスライドされ、かつ、前記隔壁アクチュエータが前記スリットを通して押されると、前記隔壁が前記プローブの外面と前記流体通路の前記部分の内面との間で前進して圧縮され、前記隔壁の前記圧縮が前記隔壁を近位方向に付勢し、これにより、前記外部デバイスが前記近位開口部から引き抜かれるとき、前記隔壁が非圧縮または弛緩状態位置に戻り、前記プローブの内面が前記プローブの前記外面の円錐表面に対応して、円錐表面を有する、固定取り付けするステップと
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記隔壁アクチュエータの前記プローブの前記外面は、前記基部から近位端へ内側にテーパが付いていることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記隔壁アクチュエータの前記プローブは中空の釘状部を備えることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記カテーテルアダプタの内面上に遠位ストッパを設けるステップをさらに含み、前記隔壁が圧縮されている場合、前記遠位ストッパは前記隔壁の遠位端が遠位方向に移動しないようにするように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記隔壁の前記遠位端に圧縮切欠きを設けるステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の方法。
- 隙間空間は、前記プローブの前記外面と前記流体通路の前記部分の前記内面との間であって、前記隔壁の遠位端より遠位に形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記プローブは、流体が前記プローブの内部と前記隙間空間との間を流れること許容する1以上の開口を含むことを特徴とする請求項12に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記隙間空間は、前記隔壁の遠位表面により少なくとも部分的に定義されることを特徴とする請求項12に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記内面は、前記隔壁の近位への移動を制限する環状隆起部を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記隔壁が非圧縮または弛緩状態にある場合に、前記プローブが前記隔壁の前記スリットに部分的に挿入されるように、前記環状隆起部が配置されることを特徴とする請求項15に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
