Description
これらの特許文献1〜3においては、いずれも、加熱状態の大径シールローラの外周面に対してフィルムの重合部が巻き掛けられるとともに、小径シールローラにより大径シールローラ上に押さえられ、これによってフィルム同士が溶着されて重合部がシールされるようになっている。
本実施形態における縦シール装置を採用した製袋充填包装機としての横形製袋充填機は、フィルム供給源となる下方に配置された原反ロールから上方へ引き出した帯状フィルム102を製袋手段で筒状に成形するとともに、フィルム102の長手方向両端縁部を重合して縦シール装置によって縦シールを施し、また、その筒状成形されるフィルム102中に物品を供給コンベアで所定間隔毎に供給し、筒状成形されたフィルム102中に供給されている物品103を挟む前後位置で、筒状フィルム102に、フィルム搬送方向と交差する方向に横シール・切断して袋詰め包装品を得るようにしている。
物品103を内包するように円筒状に形成されたフィルム102は、その両端が前記各遮へい板22の案内間隙25より下方に引き込み案内され、その下部の重合部104が夫々解放状態の送り手段27の送りローラ38,39間、予熱手段28の予熱ブロック63,64間、シールローラ29の第1、第2加熱ローラ71,72と,補助ローラ73との間、送出手段30の送出ローラ91,92間を経て、さらに下流に向けて案内される通過ラインSとなる経路を辿るように配置される。次いで、前記送り手段27と、送出手段30とをレバーハンドル35の回動操作で、また、シールローラ29と予熱手段28とを、モータ(図示省略)及びシリンダ61とを作動させることによって、夫々重合部104側の接近位置に移動させることで、重合部104が送りローラ38,39で挟持され、予熱手段28の加熱面65a,65bの間を経てシールローラ29における補助ローラ73と第1加熱ローラ71と第2加熱ローラ72とで挟持されて補助ローラ73の巻付開始位置78から第1加熱ローラ71の巻付終了位置79までに亘って、各ローラの外周に所定の区間圧接状態で巻付けられると共に、送出ローラ91,92間によって挟持される。また、ベッド23の開放部24から案内間隙25内に引き込まれた重合部104が、予熱手段28の左右予熱ブロック63,64の各加熱面65a,65bの間を経て送出ローラ91,92の挟持位置を超えた搬送下流位置までの間に亘り、左右に変位する通過ラインSを辿るのに対応して、遮へい板22の案内間隙25には重合部104の下流に向けた通過ラインの左右振れ量に応じた大きさの幅広部Lが設けられており、それによって重合部104は搬送時にその案内間隙25の間を通過して、フィルム102の搬送を阻害することなく、また、フィルム102の下流へ搬送される際に重合部104を挟んだ左右位置において搬送方向に沿って重合部の左右を案内することでフィルム102の蛇行を防止することができる。
(1)重合部104に対する加熱は、補助ローラ73の巻付開始位置78を経て、補助ローラ73と第2加熱ローラ72とによる挟持位置75から第2加熱ローラ72の外周面を経て、第1加熱ローラ71と第2加熱ローラ72との挟持位置76を更に越えた第1加熱ローラ71外周面における巻付終了位置79まで亘って重合部104がシールローラ29の夫々の外周面に圧接された状態でシールされる。従って、加熱されたローラ71,72に対して重合部104が両側から均等に加圧された状態で加熱されると共に、フィルム搬送中に重合部104が加熱ローラ71,72に接触して進行する区間が長く設定できる。すなわち、搬送中のフィルム102でも、長い時間を使って所定の加圧状態で重合部104を加熱してシールするので、たとえ高速包装であってもシール温度を低く設定することができる。このため、重合部104の表面が高温で溶けたり、シール皺などが生じたりすることなく、綺麗な外観で、かつ密封性の高い強固な縦シールを施すことができる。
(5)小径の補助ローラ73を第1加熱ローラ71の上流側に設けたので、シールローラ29の上流側に予熱手段28を設ける場合には、シールローラ29を予熱手段28に接近させることができる。従って、予熱手段28とシールローラ29との間における重合部104の温度低下を抑制できる。このため、温度低下を見越して予熱手段28及びシールローラ29のシール温度を高く設定しておく必要がなく、前記と同様に重合部104の表面が高温で溶けたりすることなく、綺麗な外観で、かつ密封性の高い強固な縦シールを施すことができる。
(20)シールローラで加熱された重合部104を非加熱の送出ローラ91、92で挟持してフィルム102を早期に冷却できるので、密封性に優れたシール強度の高いシールを得ることができる。
Claims (4)
- フィルムの重合部を挟持して搬送する送り手段と、
その下流に配設され前記重合部を加熱する予熱手段と、
その下流に配設されフィルムの搬送中に重合部を加熱してシールするシールローラを設けた縦シール装置において、
前記予熱手段は、
前記重合部を挟んで近接して配置される加熱面を備えた予熱ブロックを備え、
その加熱面を前記送り手段における重合部の挟持部から、前記シールローラにおける補助ローラへの巻付開始位置までに至る傾斜した重合部の通過ラインに沿って平行に配置し、
前記シールローラには、前記重合部を挟持して相互に異なる方向に回転駆動される第1、第2加熱ローラと、
第1加熱ローラの上流側において第2加熱ローラとで前記重合部を挟持するよう自由回転可能に支持され、第1加熱ローラ及び第2加熱ローラより小径に形成した前記補助ローラとを備え、
前記第1加熱ローラは第2加熱ローラの回転中心より下流に配置され、前記第1加熱ローラの第2加熱ローラとによる重合部の挟持位置は、前記補助ローラによる重合部の挟持位置より下流に離間して配置されるようにした
製袋充填機における縦シール装置。 - フィルムの重合部を挟持して搬送する送り手段の下流に配設され、
フィルムの搬送中に重合部を加熱してシールするシールローラ
を設けた縦シール装置において、
前記シールローラには、前記重合部を挟持して相互に異なる方向に回転駆動される第1、第2加熱ローラと、
第1加熱ローラの上流側において
第2加熱ローラとで前記重合部を挟持するよう自由回転可能に支持され、
第1加熱ローラ及び第2加熱ローラより小径に形成した補助ローラとを備え、
前記第1加熱ローラは第2加熱ローラの回転中心より下流に配置され、
前記第1加熱ローラの第2加熱ローラとによる重合部の挟持位置は、前記補助ローラによる重合部の挟持位置より下流に離間して配置され、
前記送り手段における重合部の挟持部から、前記シールローラにおける補助ローラへの巻付開始位置までに至る傾斜した重合部の通過ラインにおいて、前記補助ローラとの巻付開始位置と前記第1加熱ローラとの巻付終了位置とは、フィルムの搬送中心ラインからの左右への振れ量を同じ量となる位置に設定される製袋充填機における縦シール装置。 - 前記シールローラ及び予熱手段を覆ってフィルムへの熱影響を防止するベッドを設け、そのベッドには前記通過ラインに沿って延びる案内間隙を設けた遮へい板を備え、前記重合部の通過ラインにおいて、補助ローラとの巻付開始位置と前記第1加熱ローラとの巻付終了位置とによるフィルムの搬送中心ラインからの左右への振れ量に応じた幅広部を形成した請求項1または2に記載の製袋充填機における縦シール装置。
- 規定時間を超えるフィルム搬送停止時には第2加熱ローラが補助ローラと第1加熱ローラとから離間されて、補助ローラと第1加熱ローラとによる重合部の挟持を解除するよう作動されることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のうちのいずれか一項に記載の製袋充填機における縦シール装置。
