Claims (3)
- 電解質膜の両側にカソード電極及びアノード電極が配設される電解質膜・電極構造体を、横長形状の一対のセパレータで挟持するとともに、前記電解質膜・電極構造体と一方の前記セパレータとの間に、酸化剤ガスをカソード電極面に沿って流通させる酸化剤ガス流路が形成され、前記電解質膜・電極構造体と他方の前記セパレータとの間に、燃料ガスをアノード電極面に沿って流通させる燃料ガス流路が形成され、互いに隣接する前記セパレータ間に、冷却媒体をセパレータ面方向に沿って流通させる冷却媒体流路が形成される燃料電池であって、
前記セパレータの長辺方向両端縁部には、前記酸化剤ガス流路に連通する酸化剤ガス入口連通孔と酸化剤ガス出口連通孔とが、一方の対角位置に設けられ、且つ、前記燃料ガス流路に連通する燃料ガス入口連通孔と燃料ガス出口連通孔とが、他方の対角位置に設けられるとともに、
前記セパレータの対向する各短辺には、前記冷却媒体流路に連通する冷却媒体入口連通孔と冷却媒体出口連通孔とが設けられ、
前記酸化剤ガス流路と前記燃料ガス流路とは、対向流をなす一方、前記冷却媒体流路と前記酸化剤ガス流路とは、並行流をなし、
前記酸化剤ガス流路は、水平方向に延在する水平部と、
前記酸化剤ガス入口連通孔及び前記酸化剤ガス出口連通孔に向かって鉛直方向に延在する垂直部と、
を備える複数本のZ状酸化剤ガス流路溝を有する一方、
前記燃料ガス流路は、水平方向に延在する水平部と、
前記燃料ガス入口連通孔及び前記燃料ガス出口連通孔に向かって鉛直方向に延在する垂直部と、
を備える複数本のZ状燃料ガス流路溝を有することを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項1記載の燃料電池において、前記複数本のZ状酸化剤ガス流路溝及び前記複数本のZ状燃料ガス流路溝は、それぞれ同一の流路長に設定されることを特徴とする燃料電池。
- 請求項1又は2記載の燃料電池において、前記冷却媒体流路は、前記酸化剤ガス流路の水平部と並行流をなして前記水平方向に延在する複数本の冷却媒体流路溝を備えるとともに、
前記複数本の冷却媒体流路溝は、同一の流路長に設定されることを特徴とする燃料電池。
