Description
光源3における複数の点光源は、角周波数ωの正弦波に従って発光している。検出装置25は、角周波数ωの正弦波を用いた同期検波により、移動体の位置情報を検出する。このようにすれば、同期検波に用いる信号を、光源3の発光位置の変動と同期させることができるので、検波精度が向上する。
Claims (5)
- 所定方向に配列された複数の光源と;
前記複数の光源を縮小した複数の2次光源を形成する光学系と;
前記光学系を介した前記2次光源からの照明光を用いて、移動体の位置情報を検出する検出系と;を備えるエンコーダ。 - 前記複数の光源は、所定の周期信号に基づいて発光位置が時系列に変化して発光し、
前記検出系は、前記移動体とともに移動し、前記所定方向に沿って配列されたパターンを有するスケールと、該スケールを介した前記照明光を受光し、該受光結果に相当する信号に基づいて移動体の位置情報を検出する検出装置とを備え、
前記検出装置は、
前記所定の周期信号を用いた同期検波により、前記移動体の位置情報を検出することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のエンコーダ。 - 前記2次光源が形成される面と前記スケールが配置される面とは、光学的に共役であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のエンコーダ。
- 前記所定の周期信号は、
正弦波、のこぎり波、三角波、矩形波のいずれかであることを特徴とする請求項2又は3に記載のエンコーダ。 - 前記複数の光源は、面発光レーザ光源であることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のエンコーダ。
