Description
また、スプライス部における結線作業の終了後に、ケーブル保持部材を接続完了位置に移動させて、光ファイバケーブルの光ファイバ心線に加わる長さ方向押圧力を実質的に解除するようにしたから、光ファイバケーブルの光ファイバ心線の部分における光損失を十分に低減できるとともに、光ファイバ心線の部分における寿命を増加させることができる。
図1〜図3は、本発明の一実施形態によるアングル型の光コネクタ10を示す図、図4〜図9は、光コネクタ10の各構成部品を示す図である。光コネクタ10は、光伝送路における接続/分離自在な接続部を、特に光伝送路の敷設工事現場で容易に形成できるものである。また、光コネクタ10は、フェルールに対して光ファイバケーブルを曲げた状態で保持するケーブル保持部を備えたアングル型の光コネクタである。

Claims (5)
- 本体と、該本体に設置されるフェルールと、該フェルールに固定支持される予め定めた長さの組込光ファイバ素線と、該フェルールに近接して該本体に設置され、該フェルールから突出する該組込光ファイバ素線と該本体の外部から導入された光ファイバケーブルの光ファイバ素線とを、先端突き合わせ接続状態で固定支持するように動作できるスプライス部とを具備する光コネクタにおいて、
前記スプライス部に対し前記フェルールとは反対側で前記本体に設置され、前記本体に対し前記組込光ファイバ素線の延長方向に交差する方向へ延びる軸線を中心に移動可能であって、光ファイバケーブルを保持可能なケーブル保持部材を具備し、
前記ケーブル保持部材は、光ファイバケーブルを保持した状態で、
前記本体に該ケーブル保持部材を取り付ける動作により、前記固定支持する動作を遂行する前の前記スプライス部において前記光ファイバケーブルの光ファイバ素線を前記組込光ファイバ素線に突き合わせるとともに該スプライス部と該ケーブル保持部材との間で該光ファイバケーブルの光ファイバ心線を長さ方向押圧力下で撓曲させる接続準備位置に配置でき、
前記スプライス部が前記組込光ファイバ素線と前記光ファイバケーブルの前記光ファイバ素線とを前記先端突き合わせ接続状態で固定支持した後に、前記接続準備位置から、前記軸線を中心に移動することにより、該光ファイバケーブルの前記光ファイバ心線への前記長さ方向押圧力を解除する接続完了位置に配置できること、
を特徴とする光コネクタ。 - 前記本体上で前記ケーブル保持部材を前記接続準備位置に一時的に係止する係止構造をさらに具備する、請求項1に記載の光コネクタ。
- 前記本体上で前記ケーブル保持部材を前記接続完了位置に係止する係止構造をさらに具備する、請求項1又は2に記載の光コネクタ。
- 前記ケーブル保持部材は、光ファイバケーブルを受容する直線状の受容凹部を備えるとともに、該受容凹部が前記組込光ファイバ素線の延長方向に略平行な方向へ延びる前記接続準備位置と、該受容凹部が該組込光ファイバ素線の該延長方向に対し交差する方向へ延びる前記接続完了位置との間で移動可能であり、該ケーブル保持部材が該接続完了位置にあるときに、前記スプライス部と該受容凹部との間で前記光ファイバケーブルの前記光ファイバ心線を、予め定めた最小曲げ半径以上の曲げ半径で撓曲させる、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の光コネクタ。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の光コネクタと、該光コネクタの前記フェルールに同心に衝合される第2フェルールを有する第2の光コネクタとを、互いに着脱可能に組み合わせて構成される光ファイバ接続システム。
