Description
1000mLの反応器に、熱電対、温度調節器、パージガス入口、パージガス出口を有する水冷還流冷却器、撹拌装置、および添加漏斗を取り付けた。添加漏斗に、12.25gのブチルアクリレートと、7gのアクリル酸と、12.25gメチルメタクリレートと、3.5gのトリメチロールプロパントリアクリレートと、ミネラルスピリット中のt−アミルペルオキシピバレートの75%溶液1.4gとからなる36.4gのモノマー混合物を投入した。400gの2−プロパノール(IPA)が入れられた反応器に窒素を30分間流し込み、続いて反応器内容物を80℃まで加熱した。反応器内容物が80℃に達してから、添加漏斗中のモノマー混合物を反応器に投入し、温度を90分間維持した。上記モノマー混合物の第2のアリコートを反応器に添加し、続いてさらに90分間維持した。このパルス的添加をさらに4回繰り返した。最後のモノマー混合物の添加終了から90分後、ミネラルスピリット中のt−アミルペルオキシピバレート75%溶液2gからなるチェーサーショットを加えた。このチェーサーアリコートの終了後、反応器内容物を80℃で4時間維持して、反応を終了させた。この反応を測定すると固形分は35%であった。アセトン中の平均粒径を動的光散乱で測定すると4nmとなり、粒径分布は2〜20nmの間であった。
2000mLの反応器に、熱電対、温度調節器、パージガス入口、パージガス出口を有する水冷還流冷却器、撹拌装置、および添加漏斗を取り付けた。添加漏斗に、30gのブチルアクリレート、30gのメチルメタクリレート、6.7gのトリメチロールプロパントリアクリレート、ミネラルスピリット中のt−アミルペルオキシピバレート75%溶液2.7gと、16.7gの2−プロパノール(「IPA」)とからなる86gのモノマー混合物を投入した。400gのIPAが入れられた反応器に窒素を30分間流し込み、続いて反応器内容物を79℃まで加熱した。反応器内容物が79℃に達してから、添加漏斗中のモノマー混合物を反応器に投入し、温度を90分間維持した。上記モノマー混合物の第2のアリコートを反応器に添加し、続いてさらに90分間維持した。このパルス的添加をさらに4回繰り返した。最後のモノマー混合物の添加終了から60分後、ミネラルスピリット中のt−アミルペルオキシピバレート75%溶液8.0gからなるチェーサー投入材料を加えた。第2のチェーサーアリコートの終了後、反応器の内容物を80℃で30分間維持して、反応を終了させた。この反応を測定すると固形分は47%であった。ゲル浸透クロマトグラフィーによって、テトラヒドロフラン中の平均粒径を測定すると26nmであった。
一連の3つの反応器を直列に組み立てる。反応器Aには、移送漏斗からのモノマー混合物と、各30分後ごとに反応器Cからリサイクルされる溶媒とが再充填される。反応器Bは加熱された待機タンクである。反応器Cは減圧下にある溶媒ストリッピングタンクである。
2000mLの反応器に、熱電対、温度調節器、パージガス入口、パージガス出口を有する水冷還流冷却器、撹拌装置、および添加漏斗が取り付けられる。添加漏斗に、30gのブチルアクリレートと、30gのメチルメタクリレートと、6.7gのトリメチロールプロパントリアクリレートと、ミネラルスピリット中のt−アミルペルオキシピバレートの75%溶液2.7gと、16.7gのn−デカンとからなる86gのモノマー混合物が投入される。400gのn−デカンが入れられた反応器に窒素が30分間流し込まれ、続いて反応器内容物が79℃まで加熱される。反応器内容物が79℃に達してから、添加漏斗中のモノマー混合物が反応器に投入され、温度が90分間維持される。上記モノマー混合物の第2のアリコートが反応器に添加され、続いてさらに90分間維持される。このパルス的添加がさらに4回繰り返される。最後のモノマー混合物の添加終了から60分後、30分間の間隔が開けられる2つのチェーサーアリコートであって、ミネラルスピリット中のt−アミルペルオキシピバレートの75%溶液8.0gからなる2つのチェーサーアリコートの第1回目が加えられる。第2のチェーサーアリコートの終了後、反応器の内容物は80℃で30分間維持され、反応が終了する。最終固形分は45%となる。
アクリル酸(10g、1当量)と、ヒドロキノン(500ppm)と、ジシクロヘキシカルボジイミド(32g、1.1当量)とが、熱ジメチルホルムアミド(34g)中のグルコース(100g)に加えられる。この混合物が60℃で8時間撹拌される。得られた溶液をろ過し、冷却した後に、4,4’−アゾビス(4−シアノ吉草酸)(2g)と水酸化ナトリウム(0.5g)とが上澄みに加えられ、このバッチが6つの同量のアリコートに分割される。
アクリル酸(27g、2当量)と、ヒドロキノン(500ppm)と、メタンスルホン酸(3.6g、0.2当量)とが、トルエン(34g)中のジメタコーン(dimethacone)(100g)に加えられる。この混合物を、水の発生が完全に停止するまで、ディーン・スターク(Dean−Stark)装置中で還流させる。冷却後、t−アミルペルオキシピバレート(2g)が加えられ、このバッチが6つの同量のアリコートに分割される。500mLの反応器に、熱電対、温度調節器、パージガス入口、パージガス出口を有する水冷還流冷却器、撹拌装置、および添加漏斗が取り付けられる。添加漏斗に、上記マクロモノマー混合物のアリコート1つが投入される。150gのトルエンが入れられた反応器に窒素が30分間流し込まれ、続いて反応器内容物が79℃まで加熱される。反応器内容物が79℃に達してから、添加漏斗中のマクロモノマー混合物が反応器に投入され、温度が90分間維持される。上記モノマー混合物の第2のアリコートが反応器に添加され、続いてさらに90分間維持される。このパルス的添加がさらに4回繰り返される。モノマー混合物の添加終了から60分後、30分間の間隔が開けられる2つのチェーサーアリコートであって、ミネラルスピリット中のt−アミルペルオキシピバレートの75%溶液8.0gと20gのトルエンとからなる2つのチェーサーアリコートの第1回目が加えられる。第2のチェーサーアリコートの終了後、反応器の内容物は80℃で60分間維持され、反応が終了する。最終固形分は40%となる。
1000mLの反応器に、熱電対、温度調節器、パージガス入口、パージガス出口を有する水冷還流冷却器、撹拌装置、および添加漏斗が取り付けられる。添加漏斗に、12.25gのブチルアクリレートと、7gのアクリル酸と、12.25gのメチルメタクリレートと、3.5gのトリメチロールプロパントリアクリレートと、ミネラルスピリット中のt−アミルペルオキシピバレートの75%溶液1.4gとからなる36.4gのモノマー混合物が投入される。400gのIPAと1gのモンモリロナイトとが入れられた反応器に窒素が30分間流し込まれ、続いて反応器内容物が80℃まで加熱される。反応器内容物が80℃に達してから、添加漏斗中のモノマー混合物が反応器に投入され、温度が90分間維持される。上記モノマー混合物の第2のアリコートが反応器に添加され、続いてさらに90分間維持される。このパルス的添加がさらに4回繰り返される。最後のモノマー混合物の添加終了から90分後、ミネラルスピリット中のt−アミルペルオキシピバレート75%溶液2gからなるチェーサーショットが加えられる。チェーサーアリコートの終了後、反応器の内容物が80℃で4時間維持され、反応が終了する。最終固形分は34%となる。
250mLの反応器に、熱電対、温度調節器、パージガス入口、パージガス出口を有する水冷還流冷却器、撹拌装置、および添加漏斗を取り付けた。添加漏斗に、5gのポリスチレン−コ−ポリビニルピリジンコポリマーと1gの1,4−ジブロモブタンと、5gのジオキサンとの反応混合物が投入される。次に、50gのジオキサンが入れられた反応器に窒素が30分間流し込まれ、続いて反応器内容物が90℃まで加熱される。反応器内容物が90℃に達してから、添加漏斗中のモノマー混合物が反応器に投入され、温度が90分間維持される。上記反応混合物の第2のアリコートが反応器に添加され、続いてさらに90分間維持される。このパルス的添加がさらに6回繰り返される。最終アリコートの終了後、反応器の内容物は90℃で3時間維持され、反応が終了する。最終固形分は35%となる。
Claims (7)
- ポリマーナノ粒子を調製する方法であって、溶媒及び反応物を容器に加えるステップと、前記反応物を反応させて架橋されたポリマーナノ粒子を生成するステップとを含み、ここで、前記反応物には、アルキル(メタ)アクリレート、脂環式(メタ)アクリレート、(メタ)アクリルアミド、酢酸ビニル、アルケニル(メタ)アクリレート、アリール(メタ)アクリレート、アルキルアリール(メタ)アクリレート、アミン含有(メタ)アクリレート、リン含有(メタ)アクリレート、硫黄含有(メタ)アクリレート、ビニル芳香族モノマー、(メタ)アクリル酸、置換エチレンモノマー、及びこれらの組み合わせから選択されるモノマーが含まれ、さらに前記反応物には、架橋剤も含まれ、前記ポリマーナノ粒子の平均粒径は1〜50nmであり、前記方法は溶液重合及び沈殿重合からなる群から選択され、前記反応物はパルス的添加法を用いて容器に加えられ、前記反応物の添加終了前に、反応物が供給されない時間間隔が存在し、該時間間隔が30秒〜8時間であり、得られるポリマーナノ粒子固形分は45重量%以上となる方法。
- 前記方法が、バッチ方法、半連続方法、および連続方法からなる群より選択される請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記方法が、溶液重合である請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記反応物が前記容器に少なくとも2つのアリコートで添加される、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記反応物が、反応性基を有する官能性ポリマーをさらに含む請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記反応物が、無機物質をさらに含む請求項1記載の方法。
- 反応温度が−30℃〜150℃の間である、請求項1記載の方法。
