圃場に植生している根菜Kの茎葉部を挟持して引き抜き搬送する左右一対の挟持無端帯3・3と、該左右の挟持無端帯3・3の間に根菜Kの茎葉部を挟持させるための茎葉処理部を備えた収穫機において、機体進行方向の前面側で前記左右一対の挟持無端帯3・3の、根菜Kの未掘り起こし側の前方の下部には、引き抜くべき根菜Kの茎葉部を未掘り起こし側の根菜Kの茎葉部と絡まないように分離するための分草装置14を設け、該分草装置14は略垂直面内に上向きに移動する分草タイン15を具備し、同じく、根菜Kの既掘り起こし側の前方の下部には、引き抜くべき根菜Kの茎葉部を引き起こすための引き起こし装置16を設け、該引き起こし装置16は前記分草タイン15と略直交し、分草装置14のタインケース65側面と対峙して上向きに移動する引き起しタイン17を具備し、且つ引き起しタイン17が圃場面19から上向きに移動するとき、先端が分草装置14における分草タイン15の非作用側となるタインケース65側面と対峙するように配置し、走行機体1の下方に左右一対の走行クローラ2a・2bを配置し、前記左右一対の挟持無端帯3・3による根菜Kの茎葉部の挟持搬送ラインHが、前記根菜未掘り起こし側の走行クローラ2aの外縁より外側において、平面視にて走行機体1の進行方向と平行状となるように配置されていることを特徴とする根菜収穫機。
