Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 【0001】 【産業上の利用分野】この発明は、携帯用電気マルノコ
に関し、詳しくは覗き窓近傍の切粉の吹き飛ばし構造に
関する。 【0002】 【従来の技術】電気マルノコを用いて切断作業を行う場
合に、適切な向きでマルノコを把持するとブレードの裏
面側はブレードケースで遮蔽されているので、歯先すな
わち切断箇所が目視できず、このため従来より適当な部
位例えばブレードケースの裏面前部に覗き窓を切欠き形
成して、ブレードケース裏面側に位置する作業者から切
断箇所を目視できるようにしている。 【0003】 【発明が解決しようとする課題】しかしながら、上記の
ように覗き窓を単に切り欠いただけで設けた場合には、
切断作業中にこの覗き窓から切粉が吹き出され、これが
作業者に向けて吹き付けられるという問題があった。こ
こで、この覗き窓を透明な樹脂板等で遮蔽しておくこと
により切粉吹き出しの問題は解決され、かつ歯先の目視
も可能となるのであるが、この場合には切粉が樹脂板に
付着してすぐに覗き窓としての機能を果たさなくなるの
で、たびたび付着した切粉を拭き取る必要が生ずるので
あるが、この拭き取り作業は、ブレードとブレードケー
スとの間の隙間がごくわずかであるという構造上の理由
からブレードを外さなければ不可能であり、従って覗き
窓を透明の樹脂板とすることは現実的な解決策とはいえ
ない。 【0004】本発明はかかる問題に鑑みなされたもの
で、上記のように覗き窓を透明の樹脂板で遮蔽した場合
のような問題がなく、覗き窓を経て歯先の目視が可能で
あり、かつこの覗き窓から吹き出される切粉が作業者に
吹き付けられることを防止できる携帯用電気マルノコを
提供することを目的とする。 【0005】 【課題を解決するための手段】このため、本願発明は、
前記請求項1に記載した構成の携帯用電気マルノコとし
た。 【0006】 【作用】請求項1記載の構成によれば、覗き窓から吹き
出される切粉は、空気吹き出し孔から排出される風によ
って、切断方向前方に吹き飛ばされる。なお、覗き窓
は、その目的から通常ブレードケースの裏面前部に設け
られ、従って空気吹き出し孔が設けられたギヤケーシン
グ部はこの覗き窓よりも後ろ側に位置する。このことか
ら、空気吹き出し孔から覗き窓近傍に向けて排出された
風は切断方向前方に向けた空気の流れとなり、一種のエ
アカーテンを形成する。また、マルノコを適切な向きで
把持すれば、作業者はマルノコに対して切断方向後ろ側
に位置するので、覗き窓から排出される切粉が切断方向
前方に吹き飛ばされれば、この切粉が作業者に吹き付け
られることはなくなる。 【0007】 【発明の効果】請求項1記載の発明によれば、歯先の目
視をするために設けた覗き窓から吹き出される切粉は切
断方向前方に吹き飛ばされるので、作業者に吹き付けら
れることはなくなり、歯先部分が見やすくなる。 【0008】 【実施例】次に、本発明の実施例を図1ないし図3に基
づいて説明する。図は、電気マルノコ1の前部(切断方
向前部、以下同じ)を示している。図中2は、裏面(図
示手前側の面)にギヤケーシング部2aが一体に形成さ
れたブレードケースであり、このブレードケース2の内
部には円板形状のブレード3が装着されている。4はベ
ースであり、このベース4はブレードケース2の前端部
の回動支持部2bを介して上下方向に回動可能に取り付
けられており、これにより切込み深さの調整ができるよ
うになっている。 【0009】このブレードケース2の、回動支持部2b
のすぐ後ろ側(図示右側)であって、歯先(切断箇所、
以下同じ)の側方部位には覗き窓5が切欠き形成されて
いる。この覗き窓5を経て、切断方向後ろ側に位置する
作業者がブレードケース2の裏側(図示手前側)から歯
先を目視できるようになっている。 【0010】この覗き窓5の側方(図示手前側)には、
作業者の視線を大きく妨げない範囲でアーチ状の遮蔽柵
6〜6が適度な間隔をおいて複数(図では3つで例示し
た)設けられており、この遮蔽6〜6によって、覗き
窓5から吹き出される切粉がそのまま側方に吹き出され
ることがある程度防止されるようになっている。この遮
蔽柵6の内側(覗き窓5側)は、切断方向前後に沿った
通風路7とされており、以下述べる空気吹き出し孔10
から排出される空気(風)が切断方向後方から前方に向
けてスムーズに吹き抜けるようになっている。 【0011】さて、上記空気吹き出し孔10は、ギヤケ
ーシング部2aの切断方向前側の側部であって、上記通
風路7のほぼ後方となる部位に設けられている。図2に
示すようにこのギヤケーシング部2aに連設されたモー
タケース11内には、当該マルノコ1の駆動源としての
モータ12が内装されており、このモータ12の出力軸
12aには、モータ冷却用のファン13が取り付けられ
ている。このファン13の回転によってモータケース1
1の後面(図示されていない)から外部の空気が吸入さ
れ、吸入された空気はモータ12を冷却しながら前方
(図示上方)に流れ、然る後ファン13よりも前側の空
気室15内に流れ込む。この空気が空気吹き出し孔10
を経て、前方に位置する覗き窓5の近傍に向けて排出さ
れる。この空気の流れ(排出風)が、図において白抜き
の矢印で示されている。なお、この空気吹き出し孔10
は小径の円形孔であり、比較的小さな開口面積で設けら
れているため、空気室15内よりもさらに絞られて強く
吹き出される。 【0012】ブレードケース2の裏面には、上記空気吹
き出し孔10から通風路7に至る通風経路の上方に張り
出すようにしてリブ16が形成されており、このリブ1
6によって、空気吹き出し孔10から吹き出された空気
は放散することを抑制されつつ案内されて効率よく通風
路7の入口に至るようになっている。但し、このリブ1
6は切断作業中後方に位置する作業者の、覗き窓5への
視線を遮らない範囲で張出し形成されている。 【0013】以上のように構成された本例の携帯用電気
マルノコによれば、モータ12が回転されると、空気吹
き出し孔10から排出風が前方すなわち覗き窓5の近傍
に向けて排出される。すなわち、空気吹き出し孔10か
ら前方に向けて排出された空気は、リブ16に案内され
て効率よく通風路7に流れ込む。一方、切断作業時にお
いて、歯先付近から飛散する切粉の一部が覗き窓5を経
てブレードケース2の裏面側すなわち通風路7内に吹き
出される。しかしながら、通風路7内には、上記空気吹
き出し孔10から排出された空気が流れ込むことによっ
て後方から前方に吹き抜ける空気の流れ(図において白
抜きの矢印で示した流れ)が形成され、エアカーテンを
形成しているので、覗き窓5を経て吹き出された切粉は
この空気の流れに乗って即座に通風路7の前側出口から
前方に向けて吹き飛ばされる。また、切断作業中覗き窓
5を経て吹き出される切粉が遮蔽柵6,6間の隙間を経
て若干量側方に出たとしても、空気吹き出し孔10から
排出された空気によって前方に吹き飛ばされ、作業者に
吹き付けられることはなくなる。 【0014】また、覗き窓5は、単にブレードケース2
を切り欠いて形成したものであるので、前記透明の樹脂
板で遮蔽した場合のように切粉が付着することもなく、
何ら手間をかけることなく覗き窓としての機能を維持で
きる。 【0015】なお、本例ではギヤケーシング部2aがブ
レードケース2に一体設けられたタイプのマルノコを例
示して説明したが、このギヤケーシング部がブレードケ
ース2側ではなくモータケース11側に一体に設けられ
た構成のものであっても同様に適用可能である。
