ポリマー、オリゴマーもしくはデンドリマーは、共役している、部分的に共役している、または共役していなくてもよい。オリゴマーもしくはポリマーは、直鎖状、分岐状もしくは樹枝状であってもよい。オリゴマー、デンドリマーおよびポリマー中の、本発明の化合物の繰返し単位については、同じ好ましい形態が上述したように適用される。

以下の合成は、特に明記しない限り、保護ガス雰囲気下、乾燥溶媒中で行われる。試薬は、例えば、アルドリッチ社(フッ化カリウム(スプレー乾燥)、トリ-tert-ブチルホスフィン、酢酸パラジウム(II))から購入できる。スピロ-9,9’-ビフルオレン-2,7-ビス(ボロン酸クリコールエステル)は、WO2002/077060と同様にして準備される。文献から知られている化合物の番号(いくつかは、角格好に示される)は、対応するCAS番号である。
スピロ-9,9’-ビフルオレン-2-ボロン酸の合成
ジエチルエーテル1500ml中、103g(264ミリモル)の2-ブロモ-9-スピロビフルオレンの、-78℃に冷却した溶液に、107ml(2764ミリモル)のn-ブチルリチウム(へキサン中、2.5M)を滴下する。反応混合物を-78℃で30分間攪拌する。混合物を室温になるまで放置し、再び-78℃に冷却した後、ジエチルエーテル50ml中に40ml(351ミリモル)のホウ酸トリメチルの混合物を迅速に添加する。-10℃に温めた後、135mlの2N-塩酸で加水分解させる。有機相を分離し、水で洗浄し、硫酸ナトリウムで乾燥し、濃縮乾固させる。残留物を300mlのn-ヘプタンに取り、無色の固体を吸引濾過し、n-ヘプタンで洗浄し、減圧下で乾燥させる。
収量:93.4g(249ミリモル)、理論値の97%。純度:HPLCにより、99%。
同様の方法により、以下の化合物が得られる:
4-[3-(9H,9’H-[9,9’]ビフルオレニル-2-イル)フェニル]-2,6-ジフェニルピリミジンの合成
55.6g(107mmol)のスピロ-9,9’-ビフルオレン-2-ボロン酸、41.4g(107mmol)の4-(3-ブロモフェニル)-2,6-ジフェニルピリミジンおよび44.6g(210.0mmol)のリン酸三カリウムが、500mlのトルエン、500mlのジオキサンおよび500mlの水中で懸濁される。この懸濁液に、913mg(3.0mmol)のトリ-o-トリルホスフィン、および112mg(0.5mmol)の酢酸パラジウム(II)が加えられ、反応混合物は還流下で16時間加熱される。冷却後、有機相は除去され、シリカゲルでろ過され、200mlの水で3回洗浄され、乾燥濃縮される。残留物は、トルエンとジクロロメタン/イソプロパノールから再結晶化され、最後に高真空下で昇華される(p=5x10-5mbar、T=377℃)。
収率は、37.7g(42.1mmol)、理論の87%に対応する。
以下の例C1~I10(表1および2を参照)に、種々のOLEDのデータを示す。
カソードは、厚さ100nmのアルミニウム層で形成される。OLEDの正確な構造は、表1に見い出すことができる。OLEDの製造に必要とされる材料を表3に示す。
本発明の材料を、OLEDにおける正孔ブロック層として使用された場合、従来技術に対して、電力効率の顕著な改善をもたらす。本発明の化合物ICの使用により、従来技術PA1、PA2、PA3、PA4、PA5およびPA6(実験I1のC1、C2、C3、C4、C5、C6との比較)に対して、約13~59%の電力効率の増加が観察されうる。例えば、トリアジン基(C1)よりもピリミジン基(I1)の使用により、約19%(=1/5.2*100%)の増加が達成されうる。連結基L1の使用により、約30%(=1.5/5.0*100%;C3と比較されたI7)、24%(=1.2/5.0*100%;C3と比較されたI1)、18%(=0.9/5.0*100%;C3と比較されたI4)または10%(=0.5/5.0*100%;C3と比較されたI3)の改善へと導くことができる。I10およびC6の比較は、特に、トリアジンリンカーと比較してフェニルリンカーが好ましいことを示し、これは、49%(=1.9/3.9*100%)の電力効率の増加となる。比較例C6の低効率は、トリアジンリンカーが好ましくない特性へと導くことを示している。同時に、他の特性、特に電力効率(cd/Aで測定)、ルミネッセンス機能として外部量子効率(EQE、パーセントで測定)、および輝度1000cd/m2で必要とされる電圧は、いくつかのケースにおいて、本発明の測定で、非常に顕著に改善される。
Claims (21)
- 式(I)の化合物。
Xは、出現毎に同一であるかまたは異なり、NまたはCR1、好ましくはCR1、であり、ただし、1つの環中のX基の2以下がNであるか、またはCがL1基の結合部位であり;
Qは、それぞれのケースにおいて、1以上のR1ラジカルで置換されていてもよい、ピリミジンまたはピリジン基であり;
L1は、5~24の芳香族またはヘテロ芳香族環原子を有し、かつ1以上のR1ラジカルで置換されていてもよい、芳香族またはヘテロ芳香族環系であり、ここで、5~24の芳香族環原子を有する、芳香族またはヘテロ芳香族環系は2以下の窒素原子を含んでなり;
R1は、出現毎に同一であるかまたは異なり、H、D、F、Cl、Br、I、CN、Si(R2)3、1~40の炭素原子を有する、直鎖の、アルキル、アルコキシ、もしくはチオアルコキシ基、または3~40の炭素原子を有する、分岐または環状の、アルコキシもしくはチオアルコキシ基、(これらのそれぞれは、1以上のR2ラジカルで置換されていてもよく、ここで、それぞれのケースにおいて、1以上の非隣接CH2基が、-R2C=CR2-、-C≡C-、Si(R2)2、C=O、C=S、C=NR2、-C(=O)O-、-C(=O)NR2-、NR2、P(=O)(R2)、-O-、-S-、SO、またはSO2によって置きかえられていてもよく、かつ1以上の水素原子が、D、F、Cl、Br、I、CN、またはNO2によって置きかえられていてもよい)、または5~40の芳香族環原子を有し、かつそれぞれのケースにおいて、1以上のR2ラジカルによって置換されていてもよい、芳香族もしくはヘテロ芳香族環系、5~60の芳香族環原子を有し、かつ1以上のR2ラジカルで置換されていてもよい、アリールオキシもしくはヘテロアリールオキシ基、または5~60の芳香族環原子を有し、かつそれぞれのケースにおいて、1以上のR2ラジカルで置換されていてもよいアラルキル基、またはこれらの系の組み合わせであり、ここで、所望により、2以上の隣接するR1置換基が、単環状もしくは多環状の、1以上のR2ラジカルで置換されていてもよい脂肪族または芳香族環系を形成していてもよく;
R2は、出現毎に同一であるかまたは異なり、H、D、F、Cl、Br、I、CN、Si(R2)3、1~40の炭素原子を有する、直鎖の、アルキル、アルコキシ、もしくはチオアルコキシ基、または3~40の炭素原子を有する、分岐または環状の、アルコキシもしくはチオアルコキシ基、(これらのそれぞれは、1以上のR3ラジカルで置換されていてもよく、ここで、1以上の非隣接CH2基が、-R3C=CR3-、-C≡C-、Si(R3)2、C=O、C=S、C=NR3、-C(=O)O-、-C(=O)NR3-、NR3、P(=O)(R3)、-O-、-S-、SO、またはSO2によって置きかえられていてもよく、かつ1以上の水素原子が、D、F、Cl、Br、I、CN、またはNO2、によって置きかえられていてもよい)、または5~40の芳香族環原子を有し、かつそれぞれのケースにおいて、1以上のR3ラジカルで置換されていてもよい、芳香族もしくはヘテロ芳香族環系、5~60の芳香族環原子を有し、かつ1以上のR3ラジカルで置換されていてもよい、アリールオキシもしくはヘテロアリールオキシ基、または5~60の芳香族環原子を有し、かつそれぞれのケースにおいて1以上のR2ラジカルで置換されていてもよいアラルキル基、またはこれらの系の組み合わせであり、ここで、所望により、2以上の隣接するR2置換基が、単環状もしくは多環状の、1以上のR3ラジカルで置換されていてもよい脂肪族または芳香族環系を形成していてもよく、
R3は、出現毎に同一であるかまたは異なり、H、D、F、または1~20の炭素原子を有する脂肪族ヒドロカルビルラジカル(ここで、1以上の水素原子がDまたはFによって置きかえられていてもよい)、または5~30の炭素原子を有する、芳香族および/またはヘテロ芳香族環系(ここで、1以上の水素原子がDまたはFによって置きかえられていてもよい)であり、ここで、2以上の隣接するR3置換基が、所望により、単環状もしくは多環状、脂肪族または芳香族環系を形成していてもよい) - 式(I)、(Ia)および(IIa)において、X基の2以下がNであり、好ましくはX基の1以下がNであり、好ましくは全てのXがCR1である(ここで、Xが示すCR1基のうち、好ましくは最大4、より好ましくは最大3、特に好ましくは最大2がCH基ではない)ことを特徴とする、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の化合物。
- 式(I)、(II)、(III)、(IV)、(Ia)および/または(IIa)の構造において、前記L1基が、5~14の芳香族もしくはヘテロ芳香族環原子を有する、芳香族またはヘテロ芳香族環系、好ましくは6~12炭素原子を有する芳香族環系、であり、かつ1以上のR1ラジカルで置換されていてもよい、ことを特徴とする、請求項1~8のいずれか一項に記載の化合物。
- 式(I)、(II)、(III)、(IV)、(Ia)および/または(IIa)の構造において、前記L1基が、2以下のヘテロ原子、好ましくは1以下のヘテロ原子、を有することを特徴とする、請求項1~9のいずれか一項に記載の化合物。
- 式(I)、(II)、(III)、(IV)、(Ia)および/または(IIa)の構造において、前記L1基が、式(L1-1)~(L1-108)から選択される基であることを特徴とする、請求項1~10のいずれか一項に記載の化合物。
- 1以下のピリジン基またはピリミジン基が、式(I)、(Ia)、(II)、(IIa)、(III)および/または(IV)の構造中のL1基に結合されていることを特徴とする、請求項1~11のいずれか一項に記載の化合物。
- 式(I)、(Ia)、(II)、(IIa)、(III)および/または(IV)の構造中のL1基に、ピリジン基ではなく、ちょうど1つのピリミジン基が結合されていることを特徴とする、請求項1~12のいずれか一項に記載の化合物。
- 式(I)、(Ia)、(II)、(IIa)、(III)および/または(IV)の構造を有する化合物が、1以下のピリジン基を含んでなることを特徴とする、請求項1~13のいずれか一項に記載の化合物。
- 式(I)、(Ia)、(II)、(IIa)、(III)および/または(IV)の構造を有する化合物が、ピリジン基を含まず、1以下のピリミジン基を含んでなることを特徴とする、請求項1~14のいずれか一項に記載の化合物。
- 請求項1~15のいずれか一項に記載の1以上の化合物を含む、オリゴマー、ポリマー、またはデンドリマーであって、前記化合物の、前記ポリマー、オリゴマー、またはデンドリマーへの、1以上の結合が存在する、オリゴマー、ポリマー、またはデンドリマー。
- 請求項1~15のいずれか一項に記載の少なくとも1つの化合物および/または請求項16に記載のオリゴマー、ポリマー、もしくはデンドリマー、および蛍光発光体、燐光発光体、マトリックス材料、電子輸送材料、電子注入材料、正孔伝導材料、正孔注入材料、電子ブロック材料、および正孔ブロック材料、ワイドバンドギャップ材料、またはn-ドーパントからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つのさらなる化合物を含んでなる組成物。
- 請求項1~15のいずれか一項に記載の少なくとも1つの化合物、請求項16に記載のオリゴマー、ポリマー、もしくはデンドリマー、および/または請求項17に記載の少なくとも1つの組成物、および少なくとも1つの溶剤を含んでなる配合物。
- 請求項1~15のいずれか一項に記載の化合物または請求項16に記載のオリゴマー、ポリマー、もしくはデンドリマーを調製する方法であって、カップリング反応において、少なくとも1つのピリジンおよび/またはピリミジン基を含んでなる化合物が、少なくとも1つのスピロビフルオレンラジカルを含んでなる化合物と反応することを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1~15のいずれか一項に記載の化合物、請求項16に記載の、オリゴマー、ポリマー、もしくはデンドリマー、または請求項16に記載の組成物の、電子素子における、正孔ブロック材料、電子注入材料および/または電子輸送材料としての使用。
- 請求項1~15のいずれか一項に記載の少なくとも1つの化合物、請求項16に記載の、オリゴマー、ポリマー、もしくはデンドリマー、または請求項17に記載の組成物を含んでなる電子素子であって、前記電子素子が、好ましくは、有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子、有機集積回路、有機電界効果トランジスタ、有機薄膜トランジスタ、有機発光トランジスタ、有機太陽電池、有機光検出器、有機感光体、有機電場消光素子、発光電子化学電池、および有機レーザーダイオードからなる群から選択される、電子素子。
