Abstract
Description
カーボンブラックの表面酸化
国際特許出願WO2005/077505A2に記載の向流混合リアクター中での市販のカーボンブラック(Grolman Ltd, UKからのNIPex(登録商標)160IQ)の表面酸化の試験を行った。
流動試験によって得られた分散液Se−016Dのサンプルを、濃縮及び沈殿物の傾斜法除去後に、動的光散乱(DLS)によって分析した。
滞留時間を約1時間に延長した以外は、Se−016Dについて上記の方法に従って、表面酸化カーボンブラックのサンプルSe−018を製造した。初期体積の1/5までの限外濾過による繰り返しの濃縮、及び脱イオン水による元の体積までの希釈によって、サンプルを洗浄した。洗浄したサンプルをそれの初期体積の1/5まで濃縮して、5重量%(SDP−100より低い)固体含有物を含む分散液を得た。
Claims (23)
- カーボンブラックの表面酸化方法であって、
向流混合リアクター中、有機溶媒又は他の溶媒中の前記カーボンブラックの溶液若しくはスラリーを、前記カーボンブラックの表面酸化のための試薬を含む液体キャリアと連続的に混合することで、前記カーボンブラックを前記試薬と反応させて、前記液体キャリアと溶媒との混合物中のナノ粒子分散液としての表面酸化カーボンブラックを形成すること、を含む方法。 - 未反応試薬及び/又は副生成物が存在する場合に、これらを前記分散液から除去することをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記分散液を濃縮することをさらに含む、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記方法が、1nm〜500nm、好ましくは10nm〜300nmの平均直径を有する前記表面酸化カーボンブラックのナノ粒子分散液を提供する、請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記方法が、単峰型多分散性を有する前記表面酸化カーボンブラックのナノ粒子分散液を提供する、請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記方法が、0.1〜3.0、例えば2.0以下、又はさらには1.0以下の動的光散乱(DLS)多分散性指数を有する前記表面酸化カーボンブラックのナノ粒子分散液を提供する、請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記方法が、前記カーボンブラックのバッチ酸化によって製造される表面酸化カーボンブラックのナノ粒子に比して、高い揮発性成分を有する前記表面酸化カーボンブラックのナノ粒子分散液を提供する、請求項1乃至請求項6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記方法が、ナノ粒子濃度が5重量%〜50重量%、例えば5重量%〜30重量%、5重量%〜20重量%、又は5重量%〜10重量%である、前記表面酸化カーボンブラックのナノ粒子分散液を提供する、請求項1乃至請求項7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記方法が、脱イオン水中で約63.9mV未満の大きさのゼータ電位を有する前記表面酸化カーボンブラックのナノ粒子分散液を提供する、請求項1乃至請求項8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記方法が、湿潤剤及び/又は分散剤を実質的に含まない前記表面酸化カーボンブラックのナノ粒子分散液を提供する、請求項1乃至請求項9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記方法が、20℃〜120℃、例えば20℃〜80℃又は20℃〜60℃のリアクター温度で実行される、請求項1乃至請求項10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記方法が、1バール(0.1MPa)〜250バール(25MPa)、例えば1バール(0.1MPa)〜120バール(12MPa)、又は1バール(0.1MPa)〜100バール(10MPa)の圧力で実行される、請求項1乃至請求項11のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記向流混合リアクター中での前記カーボンブラックの滞留時間が、5秒〜60分である、請求項1乃至請求項12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記液体キャリアと前記カーボンブラックの溶液又はスラリーとの流量比が、1:10〜10:1である、請求項1乃至請求項13のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記試薬が、塩基性次亜塩素酸塩を含み、前記有機溶媒又は前記他の溶媒、及び前記液体キャリアのそれぞれが水を含む、請求項1乃至請求項14のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 請求項1乃至請求項15のいずれか一項に記載の方法によって得られる、液体キャリア中の表面酸化カーボンブラックのナノ粒子分散液。
- 1nm〜500nmの平均直径を有する表面酸化カーボンブラックのナノ粒子の分散液であって、前記分散液が、単峰型多分散性であり、且つ、0.1〜3.0の動的光散乱(DLS)多分散性指数を有する分散液。
- 約63.9mV未満の大きさのゼータ電位を有する、請求項16又は請求項17に記載の分散液。
- 湿潤剤及び/又は分散剤を実質的に含まない、請求項16乃至請求項18のいずれか一項に記載の分散液。
- 請求項16乃至請求項19のいずれか一項に記載の分散液を含む、デジタルインクジェット印刷用インク濃厚液。
- 請求項1乃至請求項15のいずれか一項に記載の方法によって得られる表面酸化カーボンブラックのナノ粒子。
- 単峰型多分散性を有し、且つ、0.1〜3.0の多分散性指数を有する分散液を提供することができる、1nm〜500nmの平均直径を有する表面酸化カーボンブラックのナノ粒子。
- 約63.9mV未満の大きさのゼータ電位を有する脱イオン水中の分散液を提供することができる、請求項21又は請求項22に記載のナノ粒子。
