Claims (8)
- シリンダ軸線が後傾し、クランクケースに対してシリンダヘッドが後方に配置された内燃機関本体と、
前記内燃機関本体の後部上方に配置されたエアクリーナとを有し、
前記エアクリーナは、フィルタエレメントを備えたろ過集塵部と、前記ろ過集塵部の上流側に互いに並列に接続された、円筒状の複数のサイクロン集塵部とを有し、
前記フィルタエレメント及び前記サイクロン集塵部のそれぞれの軸線は、互いに平行に略上下に延び、
複数の前記サイクロン集塵部は、前記ろ過集塵部の前方に、前記フィルタエレメントの周方向に並んで配列され、
前記サイクロン集塵部のそれぞれは、略円筒形に形成され、分離室を画定する本体部と、前記本体部の上端外周部に設けられた空気流入通路と、前記本体部の上端中央部に設けられた空気排出通路と、前記本体部の下端外周部に設けられ、接線方向に向けて開口したダスト排出口とを有し、
前記ダスト排出口のそれぞれは、左方又は右方の斜め前方に向けて互いに同一方向に開口していることを特徴とする内燃機関。 - 前記ダスト排出口は、前記本体部の前側に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関。
- 前記本体部の下部は、前記本体部の上部に対して分離可能に取り付けられ、かつ前記分離室の内部を外側から視認可能な透明部材によって形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載の内燃機関。
- 前記サイクロン集塵部のそれぞれの前記本体部の下部は、互いに一体に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の内燃機関。
- 前記クランクケースの側部には、使用者によるスタータグリップの引っ張り操作をクランクシャフトの回転に変換するリコイルスタータが設けられ、
前記スタータグリップの引っ張り方向が、後方に設定されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項4のいずれか1つの項に記載の内燃機関。 - 前記エアクリーナの後端は、前記内燃機関本体の後端よりも前方に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項5のいずれか1つの項に記載の内燃機関。
- 前記クランクケースの上方かつ前記エアクリーナの前方に設けられた燃料タンクと、
前記クランクケースの側部及び上部に設けられ、前記クランクケースの外面との間に冷却風通路を画定するカバーと、
クランクシャフトに結合され、前記冷却風通路に配置されたファンとを更に有し、
前記冷却風通路は、前記カバーの前記ファンに対向する部分に形成された吸入口と、前記クランクケースの上部であって、前記燃料タンクと前記エアクリーナとの間に対応する部分に開口した排出口とを有することを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項6のいずれか1つの項に記載の内燃機関。 - 前記シリンダヘッドの上方かつ前記エアクリーナの側方には前記内燃機関本体から排出される排気が流れる消音器が設けられ、
前記ダスト排出口のそれぞれは、前記消音器側と相反する側方の斜め前方に向けて開口していることを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項7のいずれか1つの項に記載の内燃機関。
