Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.媒体の面を走査するコンパクトな媒体スキャナーであって、 媒体スキャナー内に位置付けられた走査装置を通り媒体移動経路に沿っ て媒体を前進させる媒体移動機構と 光ビームを生成する光源と 上記光ビームが入射し且つ往復運動をする鏡面板と、該鏡面板の対向す る二辺の側に一つ一つ配置された一対の同軸状整列捩りバーとをもつ微細加工さ れた捩り走査器と 上記鏡面板を静止位置から上記捩りバーの周りに回転する鏡面板駆動手 段と 上記光ビームを上記走査装置にある上記媒体面に向け、収束し、それに より該媒体面に跨って上記光ビームによる走査を行う走査光学素子とを具備し、 上記微細加工捩り走査器の鏡面板の往復運動は上記光ビームを、単一往 復運動の時間中に、上記微細捩り走査器の鏡面板に事実上固定された頂点がある 扇形領域に亘って屈折し、 上記鏡面板は上記一対の微細加工された捩りバーにより、上記微細加工 された捩り走査器内に支持され、且つ 上記捩りバーと鏡面板は一体である構成を特徴とするコンパクトな媒体 スキャナー。 2.前記光源は強度変調器を備え、前記媒体面は光感応性であることを特徴とす る請求項1に記載のコンパクトな媒体スキャナー。 3.前記光源は強度変調器を備え、前記媒体面は光導電性であることを特徴とす る請求項1に記載のコンパクトな媒体スキャナー。 4.前記捩りバーの少なくとも一方は、前記静止位置から捩りバーの周りに回る 鏡面板の角回転を表した電気信号を発生する捩れセンサを備えたことを特徴とす る請求項1に記載のコンパクトな媒体スキャナー。 5.前記微細加工された捩り走査器の鏡面板の往復運動は、正弦波様であること を特徴とする請求項4に記載のコンパクトな媒体スキャナー。 6.前記捩りセンサからの電気信号は、前記鏡面板駆動手段に帰還され、鏡面板 の主捩り振動モードに等しい周波数で該鏡面板を正弦波様往復運動させるように 構成されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のコンパクトな媒体スキャナー。 7.前記微細加工された捩り走査器の鏡面板の往復運動は非正弦波様であるよう に構成されることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のコンパクトな媒体スキャナー。 8.前記微細加工された捩り走査器の鏡面板の往復運動は鋸波様であるように構 成されることを特徴とする請求項7に記載のコンパクトな媒体スキャナー。 9.前記捩りセンサからの電気信号は、前記鏡面板駆動手段に帰還され、前記鏡 面板の非正弦波様往復運動を制御するように構成されることを特徴とする請求項 7に記載のコンパクトな媒体スキャナー。 10.前記媒体移動機構は媒体を鏡面板の往復運動と同期して前進させるように 構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のコンパクトな媒体スキャナー。 11.前記媒体は、表面が入射する光ビームを散乱するドキュメントであり、媒 体スキャナーは更に、 上記媒体から散乱された光ビームの少なくとも一部を受け取り、それに 応答して電気信号を発生する光検出器 を具備することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のコンパクトな媒体スキャナー。 12.前記光検出器により発生される電気信号は画素データである構成を特徴と する請求項11に記載のコンパクトな媒体スキャナー。 13.前記光検出器は光ダイオードの線形アレーである構成を特徴とする請求項 11に記載のコンパクトな媒体スキャナー。 14.前記扇形領域は実質的に平面状であり、前記走査光学素子は該扇形領域が 当たり光ビームを該光ビームが前記媒体面に入射する前に屈折する回転ミラーを 備える構成を特徴とする請求項1に記載のコンパクトな媒体スキャナー。 15.前記媒体移動経路は実質的に線形であり、前記扇形領域は回転ミラーに当 たる前に該媒体移動経路の実質的に平行に向けられる構成を特徴とする請求項1 4に記載のコンパクトな媒体スキャナー。 16.媒体スキャナーはレターサイズのドキュメントを走査するのに適合され、 更に、媒体スキャナー上に配置されるラップトップ式パーソナルコンピューター (PC)を具備し、該ラップトップPCのあしまわり内に媒体スキャナーを装着 させる構成を特徴とする請求項15に記載のコンパクトな媒体スキャナー。 17.媒体スキャナーはレターサイズのドキュメントを走査するのに適合され、 更に、媒体スキャナーを囲繞するキーボードを具備する構成を特徴とする請求項 15に記載のコンパクトな媒体スキャナー。 18.媒体スキャナーはレターサイズのドキュメントを走査するのに適合され、 更に、媒体スキャナーを囲繞するデスクトップ式PCを具備する構成を特徴とす る請求項15に記載のコンパクトな媒体スキャナー。 19.媒体スキャナーはレターサイズのドキュメントを走査するのに適合され、 更に、媒体スキャナーを囲繞するタワー型PCを具備する構成を特徴とする請求 項15に記載のコンパクトな媒体スキャナー。 20.媒体スキャナーはレターサイズのドキュメントを走査するのに適合され、 更に、媒体スキャナーを囲繞するパーソナルオーガナイザーを具備する構成を特 徴とする請求項15に記載のコンパクトな媒体スキャナー。 21.前記媒体移動経路は実質的に線形である構成を特徴とする請求項1に記載 のコンパクトな媒体スキャナー。 22.媒体スキャナーは、前記光ビームにより媒体に跨って行う走査の開始及び 終了をそれぞれ表示する電気信号を発生する一対のセンサを具備する構成を特徴 とする請求項1に記載のコンパクトな媒体スキャナー。
