Abstract

The pivoting machine-gun mounting is for use in a helicopter, and is in two parts. It has a pivot joint for the machine-gun, movable in profiled guides, and situated towards the rear breech end. Guides are provided between the parts of the mounting, together with balancing weights. The mounting can have a fixed part of U-shape secured to a column and a movable part secured to the machine-gun. The latter pivots via trunnions in curved guides in the fixed part, which has other trunnions engaging in seat in the movable part.
