Abstract

With the proposed system, concerned institutions, mainly City councils, Communities, the Ministry of public transport, traffic wardens, etc., achieve a cost-free method of increase of urban parking space with exceptional revenue potential and with comparatively little investment. It offers an increase of parking spaces, resulting in fewer violations, better public service, and the curbing of non-residential traffic to the city centre, with positive effects on the problems of air pollution, traffic congestion, etc. but mainly it is the most honest method, as actual parking time corresponds precisely to payment. The card holder pays in advance, placing the device in a special location inside the vehicle, preferably on the driver's window, or adjacent window nearest to the pavement.
