A foam projector comprises a fixed pedestal 1 surmounted by a head 6 horizontally rotatable by a hand wheel 5 through 360 degrees on which head a projector tube 12 is tiltably mounted on bearings 13 and elevated by a hand wheel 14. High pressure water is fed via a stop valve 2 in the pedestal and the head to the tube and the foaming agent is fed through a connection 3 upwardly along the vertical rotational axis of the pedestal through a pipe 4 and through the head in an extension pipe 8 which is coaxially mounted relative to the pipe by a water-tight sleeve 9 permitting relative axial rotation therebetween. A flexible pipe 11 is connected by a quick release coupling 10 to the upper end of the extension 8 which projects from the head casing to lead the foaming agent to an injector 16 in the tube 12, the coupling allowing the supply of foaming agent to be stopped at will so that only water is projected. In a modification, a two-way selector valve is mounted on the bearings 13 to allow water to flow either in a straight path into a water jet nozzle mounted thereon or via a pipe bend to a separate foam projector tube to which the foaming agent is separately introduced by a flexible pipe as above described.
