Abstract

922,144. Reciprocating pumps. METAL BOX CO. Ltd. Dec. 28, 1961 [March 6, 1961], No. 8157/61. Class 102(1). A dispenser for cream-like substances comprises for a container 2, a cover 1 in which is slidably mounted a tube 6 communicating with an outlet 11 at one end and frictionally engaged by a sleeve 12, movable therewith and relative thereto, at the other, the arrangement being such that on depressing the tube 6 the sleeve 12 moves with the tube 6 until it engages the end 4 thereafter the tube 6 moves into the sleeve to discharge the substance to the outlet 11. The tube is returned by a spring 7. A disc 15 lies on the surface of the substance.
