827,767. Wrenches. BRITISH TOOL & ENGINEERING CO. Ltd., and JONES, W. R. Feb. 25, 1958 [Feb. 27, 1957], No. 6521/57. Class 61. A wrench comprises a head of narrow U-shape which straddles and is pivoted at 21 to one end of a cam lever 18, the side limbs of the head having aligned apertures 13 which are adapted to receive the non-cylindrical end of a screw such as that of a car jack. The head is made from a steel stamping has a neck 10 which connects two plates 11, 12 having cuts 15 defining tongues 16 which are offset to constitute stops. The circular edge 13d of the aperture 13 affords sufficient clearance to allow reverse rotation of the tool when the cam grip is released.
