599,345. Containers with bail handles. READ, E. B., and READS, Ltd. Sept. 15, 1945, No. 23865. [Class 66] A lidded sheet metal container 1 has a bail handle 4 each end of which is engaged in'a cupshaped socket 5 secured to the wall of the container by one or more lugs 6 and 8. Each socket has a straight flexible tab 9 which may be bent over the edge of the lid. The tabs 9, when bent over, may overlap and may be connected together.
