Abstract

566,289. Cycle pump locks. LEARMONT, H. M. Feb. 1, 1943 No. 1628. Convention date, May 6, 1942. [Class 136 (i)] A bicycle pump lock comprises a box-like enclosure which can be shut round the pump handle and the supporting cycleframe tube and locked with a padlock and clasp which may also serve to secure a wheel-locking chain. The halves of the box, hinged together at 1b and 1c, fit closely above and below the frame tube 6 and are recessed at 7 to engage the pump clip 8 above its enlarged end 8a so positioning the box. The lower end of the box snugly encloses the frame 6 and pump 10. A pivoted clasp 3 and apertured projection 2 are fitted for securing by padlock and serve also for securing a chain to lock the cycle wheel. Where a removable pump clip is used, the box is placed with its top above the clip on the frame tube.
