Abstract
271,168. Tucker, A. W. G., and Ferranti, Ltd. Feb. 20, 1926. Tanks with external radiator elements.-In apparatus provided with a spring-loaded valve for preventing flow of liquid from the tank b when the detachable radiator element is removed, the valve-operating spindle f is arranged entirely within the header e of the radiator and in alignment with the stem of the valve c. The valve is located within the tank and the valve casing a has a flange d to which a flange h of the header e is clamped. The spindle f passes through a threaded and glanded part g of the header and has an end j shaped otherwise than for an ordinary box key. The valve casing may extend into the tank further than as shown so as to allow the radiator to be brought closer to the tank.
