Abstract
A photographic booth is equipped with a plurality of cameras that simultaneously acquire images of a subject in the booth. The acquired images are used to generate three dimensional images of the subject's head and this three dimensional image may be downloaded or transmitted to other devices such as mobile telephones, gaming devices, media devices or storage devices. The three dimensional image may also be used for identification purposes on passports or ID or credit cards either by use of identification files or by producing holograms from the three dimensional image data.
Description
THREE-DIMENSIONAL-IMAGE PHOTOGRAPHIC BOOTH
This patent refers to a photographic booth capable of taking threedimensional images.
The standard photographic booth is equipped with a single camera, which is capable of taking two-dimensional photographs for passports (etc).
The subject sits on a stool and the camera activates taking a number of photographs which are processed and discharged into a collection tray.
The "three-dimensional-image photographic booth" employs a number of multi-point digital cameras which take simultaneous photographs of the subject's head which are then combined to build a three-dimensional computer model or image of the head.
The photographic booth contains the necessary hardware and software, including: computer systems; memory systems; CD writers; output devices and output ports to allow connection to the Internet or to allow the user upload the three-dimensional head to web-sites or to send by email and to download data files to other devices.
Data Files (of three-dimensional head) can be downloaded to mobile telephones; memory cards for games consoles; portable games devices; media devices; memory stick (etc).
The three-dimensional image can be used to produce holograms or identification-files for passports; identification cards; credit cards; bank cards (etc) / The specific embodiment of this invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompapyifl2 dia2ram which shows: The general construction of the "Three-dimensional-image photographic booth" in plan view. (For ease of understanding only two cameras are shown).

Claims (4)
1. The "three-dimensional-image photographic booth" is a photographic booth equipped with multiple digital cameras which take simultaneous photographs of the subject's head.
2. The "three-dimensional-image photographic booth" contains the necessary hardware and software, including: computer systems; memory systems; CD writers; output devices and ports to create and transmit three dimensional image data files.
3. The signals from the cameras are combined using software to create a three-dimensional image which can be downloaded or transmitted using digital systems.
4. The "three-dimensional-image photographic booth" is described herein with reference to the diagram.
