Abstract
A portable bib worn round the neck of the wearer, made from flexible plastic with a trough 1 made from harder plastic at the base of the bib. The bib may be rolled up into its own trough 1, Fig 2, and fastened for travel by a stud 3 on the front of the trough 1 and an eyelet 2 on a flap attached to the back of the bib. A slightly padded neck 5 may be provided for extra comfort that may be attached around the neck of the wearer by stud and eyelets or velcro (RTM). The bib may have a detailed design or be transparent and may be wiped clean after use.
Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
TRAVELBIB The invention relates to a portable clothes protector, a travelbib which is self contained, compact and practical for use by old and young.
Present plastic bibs are inflexible, rendering them awkward for travel as are plastic-backed bibs which are flexible but unusable once soiled.
The object of this invention is to provide a compact, practical and self contained bib which is completely portable in a pocket or bag, and can be wiped clean after use for unlimited availability.
Accordingly, this invention provides a plastic flexible bib which rolls up into its own front trough, it can then be fastened ready for travel and use.
Preferably the travelbib is made of plastic material, most suitable for its use, with varying degrees of flexibility and plasticity and it can be transparent or detailed with a variety of designs appropriate to the age of the user/wearer.
A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Fig I shows front view of travelbib closed.
Fig 2 shows side view of travelbib closed.
Fig 3 shows front view of travelbib open.
Fig 4 shows back view of travelbib open.
Fig 5 shows side view of travelbib open.
As shown in Fig 1, the travelbib rolls up into its front trough and fastens shut with a plastic stud
I 3 and eyelet 2 or velcro.- The trough 1 is a harder plastic material than the rest of the travelbib because it doubles as a trough to catch food and portable travelling case shell.

Figure 2 shows side cross section how travelbib rolls up inside for maximum portability.
Figure 3 shows the whole travelbib open, front. 6 refers to the plastic stud/eyelet to fasten bib around neck, however, velcro can also be used. 5 indicates the slightly padded neck hem cushion for wearing comfort.
Figure 4 shows the whole travelbib open, back view, and 3,2, demonstrate the position of the fastening plastic eyelet and stud shown in each given diagram.
