Abstract
1419796 Cab mountings KLOCKNER-HUMBOLDT-DEUTZ AG 27 March 1973 [10 April 1972] 14646/73 Headings B7B and B7D A driven cab 10 is carried on the frame 11 of a commercial motor vehicle by spring legs 12 which only allow vertical movement of the cab with respect to the frame. The spring legs may be mounted at the front and rear end of the cab 10, or in the case of tiltable cabs, Fig. 1, the rear end is mounted on a support 16 with a lifting jack 15 for tilting the cab. A stabilizer in the form of a U-shaped torsion-bar is carried in bearings 14 and secured at its ends to the cab 10 or spring legs 12. As shown in Fig. 3, tube 19 of shock absorber 17 is fixed in a spring bracket 22 of the frame 11 and has slidable therein a piston having a cover 20. A spring 18 is secured between the tube 19 and cover 20 and its compression may be varied by an adjusting ring 21. A bearing bush 23 of spring leg 12 contains a bolt 24 by which the spring leg is pivoted to cab 10. Bolt 24 has a head 25 for securing the bent over end of stabilizer 13.
