Abstract

1407280 Reclining chairs MODERN TUBULAR PRODUCTIONS Ltd 23 Nov 1973 [15 Dec 1972] 58133/72 Heading A4J A reclining chair for use by physically and mentally handicapped persons comprises pivotally inter-connected leg, seat and backrest 3,2,1 respectively, the leg rest being connected to the backrest for movement simultaneously therewith by a sub frame 12, the seat rest being pivotally connected to a base frame 5 by a pivot 4 and the backrest being guided during reclining by a pivot 9 on the backrest engaging in a slot 10 on the base frame. A sliding rod between the base frame 5 and backrest 1 may be secured in position by a screw to lock the chair in the adjusted position.
