Abstract

1454882 Load handling pallet H H CUSTAFSON 10 Jan 1975 [21 Jan 1974] 1035/75 Heading B8H A load handling pallet has a laminated, resilient deck 1 curved, in an unloaded state, about a single axis parallel to the deck such that when loaded the deck assumes a substantially planar configuration. The deck may have a uniform thickness or it may be profiled to suit the loading of the pallet, it may have an upwardly concave or convex surface and it may have additional transverse and/or longitudinal strips secured to the underside. Bearers 6 are located in recesses 5 in the underside of the deck and are disposed in rows at the sides and centre of the deck with the height of the bearers in the outer rows being less than that of the bearers in the centre row. The bearers in each row may be joined by stringers 8.
