Abstract

1381687 2:1 and ring twisting machine TOYO TIRE CORD CO Ltd 25 May 1973 [26 May 1972] 25164/73 Heading DID [Also in Division F2] A twisting apparatus comprises a first unit including at least two 2:1 twisters, and yarn guides defining a common path for yarn drawn from the 2:1 twisters and leading to a device for positively feeding yarns to a ring twister. The twisting devices may be driven from a common belt and gearing drive. The 2:1 twisters may be linked so that they may be simultaneously engaged or disengaged with the drive belts (Fig. 6 not shown). The individual yarns from the 2:1 twisters may pass over spring loaded tensioning levers and associated stop motion (79, Fig. 3 not shown). A tensioning device 22 for the doubled yarns may be provided along the common yarn path.
