1351171 Dispensing liquids DRESSER EUROPE S A 31 Jan 1972 [29 Jan 1971] 3527/71 Heading A4T A liquid fuel dispenser for mixtures of petrol from a low grade source 1 and a high grade source 2 has a price computer 16 which is driven by a price drive 12 from the high grade variator 10 and by the output of an adding differential 24 having two inputs, the first 11 being a price drive from the low grade variator 9, the second being via an increment gear box 25 driven by the low grade volume drive 13 from variator 9, and control means 20, 26 to render the gear box inoperative when a mixture is dispensed, but render it operative when the low grade fuel only is dispensed. The effect is to charge more per unit volume for low grade fuel only then the charge per unit volume of low grade fuel when incorporated in a mixture. The fuels are pumped by 3, 4 from tanks 1, 2 through meters 5 and 6 to mixing valve 7 and discharged at 8. Variators 9 and 10 produce volume 13, 14 and price 11, 12 drives, which are applied to volume 18 and price 16 computers. The gear box 25 may have a plurality of different ratios to provide for different surcharge, and the particular surcharge is indicated at 27. A suitable gear box is controlled by cams, Fig. 2 (not shown). Auxiliary gear box 28 may be provided for a once-for-all adjustment depending on the currency used. Blend control differential 22 is under the control of blend selector mechanism 21, and receives output from the volume differential 18 and produces an output to control valve 7.
