Abstract

1,209,021. Pipe brackets. TECHNICAL & PRODUCTION ENG. Ltd. 30 Nov., 1967 [30 Aug., 1966], No. 38732/66. Heading A4B. [Also in Division E1-2] A clip for mounting an elongated member such as a pipe, tube, rod or cable, comprises two members 1, 2 each having a perforated base and a portion 1a, 2a upstanding therefrom, the members being adapted to nest together with the base of one superposed on the base of the other and the upstanding portion of the said one member adjacent the upstanding portion of the said other member, the said other member having a flange 3 extending from its upstanding portion and which projects away from the upstanding portion of the said one member when the members are nested together and the said one member having a curved hook portion 4 extending from its upstanding portion and presenting its concave surface to the flange 3 with its end 4a spaced from the edge 3a of the flange remote from the said one member when the members are nested together, whereby the curved hook portion cooperates with the flange to retain an elongated member against the latter when the members are nested together. In a modification the clip is designed for mounting two elongated members and the member 1 has two ledges 3 and the member 2 has two curved hooked portions 4 the ledges and hook portions being symmetrically disposed on opposite sides of the bases 5, 6. Between the or each cooperating ledge and hook portion an insulating or a locating sleeve can be disposed.
