1296161 Photographic diffusion transfer process AGFA-GEVAERT AG 4 Jan 1971 [27 Jan 1970] 279/71 Heading G2C [Also in Division C2] Silver salt diffusion transfer process uses a processing liquid containing as sludge-preventing agent a carboxy substituted mercapto pyrimidine compound having a condensed carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring which may be substituted, in which the carboxy group is not a direct substituent on the pyrimidine ring. The compound is preferably of formula: (in which X is OH or SH; Z completes a condensed carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring substituted by carboxy, carboxyalkyl or carboxyphenyl).
