Abstract
1288872 Desulphurizing ferrous metals FOSECO INTERNATIONAL Ltd 19 April 1971 [20 April 1970] 18693/70 Headings C7D and C7M To the molten metal there is added a non- exothermic composition comprising lime, fluorspar and sodium carbonate, the mixture having a chloride content not exceeding 0À25%. The composition may contain 40-80% of lime, while a preferred composition is lime 45-65 parts fluorspar 25-35 sodium carbonate 10-30 parts. The addition may be made to metal in the ladle prior to teeming.
