Abstract

1,273,291. Aqueous alkaline cleaning preparations. TEXIZE CHEMICALS Inc. 5 May, 1970 [15 July, 1969], No. 21570/70. Heading C5D. A water-based alkaline cleaning preparation consists of a preparation of the following composition:-water 85À1 to 66%, sodium sulphate 0À1 to 1%, sodium tripolyphosphate 2À0 to 6%, 20% aqueous NaOH 3À0 to 7%, linear alkylbenzene sulphonic acid 3À5 to 8%, sodium di- (2-ethyl hexyl) phosphate 0À3 to 1%, ethylene glycol monobutyl ether 3À0-6%, sodium silicate (42‹ Be) 3À0 to 5%, and incorporated therein from 0À4 to 2À0% wt. thereof of one or more primary hydrocarbon alcohols containing 6 to 13 carbon atoms. The primary alcohols serve to thicken the compositions.
