Abstract

1,241,037. Hybrid circuits. TELEFONGYAR. 26 July, 1968, No. 35839/68. Heading H4R. In a hybrid circuit for connecting a twowire line 1 and 2 to a receive amplifier 7 and a transmit amplifier 8 the input impedance of the receive amplifier is arranged to be very low compared with the line impedance, and the output impedance of the transmit amplifier is arranged to be very high so that the line will be properly terminated by the matched impedance of the balance network 6. As shown, the receive amplifier is a common emitter amplifier having a low impedance input due to the low value potentiometer 11, while the transmit amplifier is a common base amplifier having a high output impedance.
