Abstract

1,173,891. Safety harness. K.L. AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCTS Ltd, 10 Jan., 1967 [10 Oct., 1965], No. 38726/65. Heading A3V. A safety harness for children comprises a pair of laps straps 15, anchored to the vehicle adjacent the base of the seat and a pair of shoulder straps 14 anchored behind the seat, each strap having independent length adjusting means 19, 24 and a quickrelease buckle which comprises two parts 16, 17, each part being secured to a corresponding lap and shoulder strap. The shoulder strap may be fixed to the parcel shelf 13 behind the seat or to the floor. The lap straps are secured to U bolts 23 on the seat pan 12. Strap guides may be provided on the top of the seat for the shoulder straps and, if an auxiliary cushion 22 is used, guides 21 may be provided at each side of the cushion.
