Abstract
A dielectric material is manufactured by preparing a mixture consisting of TiO2 and ingredients of a glass having a positive dielectric constant temperature coefficient (T.C.); heating the mixture to produce a vitreous mass of positive T.C.; and heating this vitreous mass to 520-720 DEG C. until sufficient TiO2 has been deposited as rutile for the T.C. not to be positive within a desired temperature range. The mixture contains 5.2-12.4 mol. per cent TiO2, and the ingredients are B2O3, Al2O3, and one o more of PbO, CaO, SrO, and BaO.
